While “Rivers of Light” doesn’t officially debut until Friday, February 17, a few guests were able to attend “surprise & delight” performances of the show this past weekend.
The show, which celebrates the majesty of nature and the connection between animals and humans, combines live performers, floating lanterns, fountains, special effects and animal imagery, giant water screens and more.
Check out the video above to see what the first few spectators had to say about this new nighttime show.
“Rivers of Light” is included in theme park admission at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Want to see if for yourself? Check dates, times or make FastPass+ reservations on the My Disney Experience app or consider booking a dining package, which includes reserved seating for the show now.

Hubby and I will be at WDW in 10 days, we are hoping to go to the show on 2/28/17. I tried for fast passes but there aren’t any. We don’t mind doing stand by but I was wondering about accommodating a scooter – is that possible? Thanks!
I am going to be there in August for my honeymoon, we booked dining for Yak and Yeti at 530, but I notice the park hours are only until 7pm that whole week- it isn’t even dark yet then. Will this change when the show opens?
This was so beautiful. I had goosebumps from watching it.
It was a wonderful presentation of light, creativity and beauty! Was soooo fun!!!
I’ve been anticipating this shown since it’s announcement and can’t wait to see it now that it’s finally here! It looks amazing!
