We’ve got big news today for you Disney Junior fans out there!
This summer, there’s an all-new Disney Junior show coming to Disneyland Resort that you won’t want to miss. You and your little ones will love “Disney Junior Dance Party,” a high-energy, live show experience that takes its inspiration from the most popular Disney Junior shows on TV, including the new series “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” as well as “Doc McStuffins,” “Sofia the First” and “The Lion Guard.” The show is set to include live appearances from some of your favorite characters, fun music from Disney Junior and much more.
Since its debut in 2003 as “Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage!” featuring “Bear in the Big Blue House,” the show has been updated regularly to include popular characters over the years such as the Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and more from an ever-changing line-up on what is today Disney Junior, the #1 preschooler-dedicated TV network for the past five years. The all-new “Disney Junior Dance Party” opening this summer will introduce a musically infused, interactive concert format that involves guests directly in the experience.
The all-new “Disney Junior Dance Party” show debuts in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure park on May 26, 2017!

Sounds great! How come I can’t find info on this show anywhere on the website? Is it still coming May 26?
I’m wondering, are the Sofia and Doc segments going to remain the same? Will they be updated with the same characters, or is this an entirely different kind of thing?
I’m really curious and excited, but a little worried about potentially losing my favorite thing in the entire park. Any insight would be fabulous!

The final performance of the current show will be April 9.
Excited to hear Lion Guard is coming to the park! I hope this means there will be photo ops with Kion in the future as well!
I’m a little disappointed if this is just going to be another dance party tho. I loved the creative use of the extremely well made puppets in the old shows!
Bring back Bear
We would love for this to come to WDW since our son has loved the Disney Jr Playhouse at Hollywood Studios, and mom and dad almost have the show memorized. While we love teamwork, using examples from other stories, and that they surprise Minnie, we are ready for an update.
So excited for this! I hope the new show includes bubbles or confetti- that is my daughters favorite part of the old show!
Fingers crossed if this is a success it will come to wdw in time for our visit in autumn
Sounds great! Is a similar update coming to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version as well. Last time we went a few of the effects were not working (poor toodles)
Can we get pj masks? My kids love that show.
