We just announced that exciting new experiences designed for every member of the family are coming to the Disney Fantasy in May. From exploring the universes of Star Wars and Marvel, to shopping at unique new onboard venues, here’s a look at what’s to come after the Disney Fantasy undergoes dry dock this spring.

Imaginative New Spaces for Kids

In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, the new Star Wars: Command Post takes kids on a journey where they will train with heroes of the Star War saga and help with missions against the First Order. Here you will interact with holographic models at a one of-a-kind Star Wars holotable that projects 3-D images of the Millennium Falcon, Death Star and other famous Star Wars ships, meet members of the Resistance and learn to channel the Force.

In addition, at the all-new Marvel Super Hero Academy, kids will learn from real-life Super Heroes the heroic values of enlightenment, worthiness and loyalty. In this innovative space you can learn the ways of the mystic arts with Doctor Strange, who is making first-ever appearances onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. Children will also interact with and open portals to different locales around the Marvel Universe, and immerse themselves in an exclusive gaming experience.

Tasty Treats to Delight the Entire Family

Families can enjoy the new Sweet on You ice cream shop, themed after the iconic Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, and designed with charming art details. Sweet on You will feature hand-crafted gelato and ice-cream, specialty sundaes, homemade chocolates, truffles and a large selection of candy for purchase, all just steps away from the family pool.

Luxury Shopping for Adults

For the first time, Disney Cruise Line will welcome the world’s premier jewelry and iconic American luxury brand, Tiffany & Co., with an exclusive store aboard the Disney Fantasy. Here you can indulge in timeless collections of jewelry and luxury accessories, including the effortlessly elegant Tiffany T collection and other glamorous pieces featuring renowned Tiffany & Co. diamonds.

The new enhancements debut on Disney Fantasy sailings starting May 17, 2017 from Port Canaveral.

Which Disney Fantasy enhancement are you most excited to experience?

  • Will there be a new show? I was told once the ship goes in to dock it has a new show. Please confirm. Booking our cruise soon

  • Does an ice cream shop mean that you will be getting rid of the soft serve machines that are included on the pool deck? That would be pretty disappointing.

  • I wish Disney Cruise was more affordable, especially for Canadians and wish there was an option that can have in Canadian dollars as well for those people that are booking from Canada

    is that an option?

  • This is going to be awesome and dangerous. We sail on the 11 day southern on June 17th. Gonna have to put extra for OBC????⚓??

  • Will the Tiffany’s store offer Disney Cruise exclusive pieces?

  • Love these additions to the ship but…WOULD LOVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR ADULTS!!! Kids aren’t the only ones still hoping to be a superhero one day…

  • Cant wait to see all the new things….Being from NYC cant wait to see Tiffany’s compared to ours here in the city. Will be on the May 20th cruise…

  • Will Dr.Strange be on any of the other ships this summer?

  • Will the ice cream shop have non dairy ice cream?? Vegans and lactose intolerant guests really get left out for sweets and desserts on board DCL. We’ll be on the fantasy this September and I’d love to be able to enjoy this with everyone else!!

  • Also curious on whether there will be a concierge sun deck. We sail concierge on June 3rd and would love to have some shade up there!!

  • Awesome. We are going 6/17, 11 day. Been waiting to hear about the upgrades and think they are going to be great. The kids areas are open to everyone during certain hours so that all can enjoy the new star wars stuff will be accessible.

  • The arcade is being taken out for the Sweet on You Ice Cream Shop I would imagine!
I love how Disney always does new things to keep things new but also keeping with current demand of content.
Can’t wait to see the changes when we sail on May 20th.

  • I’m booked on the 11 day Southern Caribbean Cruise and have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of the Dry Dock upgrade. I literally just got the chills and tears in my eyes!!! My granddaughter is 10 and a HUGE fan of both Star Wars and Marvel. I am so excited for her to experience these wonderful new enhancements. This will be her 7th cruise and my 10th (YAY! Platinum). Also excited to try out the new Sweet on You ice cream shop.

  • Interesting that the Marvel and Star Wars experiences are for kids-only. I’d wager that the majority of each of those fanbases are adults.

  • Any updates on the concierge sun deck getting the same update as the Dream? Love the Ice Cream Shop and Oceaneer improvements.

  • Call me crazy, but hasn’t the Tiffanys store already made its debut? Pretty sure it was there on my December cruise…

  • Omg,the 11 night cruise will be even better. Gotta save for Tiffany’s

  • Any idea what is being taken out to make room for these enhancements?

  • I love how the changes are making the Fantasy different from the Dream! I think i’m really excited to see the kids area and the Sweet on You ice cream shop! My family has loved Vanellope’s on the Dream. I’m so excited to see this when we cruise on May 17!
