One of the greatest live shows at Walt Disney World is the “Festival of the Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Broadway big with its pageantry, puppetry and powerful music. It’s colorful and energetic! No wonder it’s so appealing to youngsters. My daughter will never forget how she was once selected to go on “stage” and make the noise of a giraffe. It was indeed memorable. But let’s face it, the tumble monkeys steal the show.

I took my granddaughter for her first visit to the Lion King on Tuesday at 10am. I had told her how much I loved the monkeys in the show. How disappointing when they did none of their acrobatic show. What happened? This was the only reason I purchased the park hopper pass to take her to the Safari and Lion King. What is the story?
