Great news for those of you anxiously counting the days until the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 27 – FastPass+ reservations are now open to experience the land’s never-before-seen attractions for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
As you may know, Pandora – The World of Avatar will transport guests to a visually stunning world with floating mountains, bioluminescent plants and more. It’ll also feature two one-of-a-kind attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage, which will allow guests to fly on a banshee over the world of Pandora and the family friendly Na’vi River Journey, which will send guests down a mystical river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest.
Guests at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can reserve FastPass+ selections for the two attractions up to 60 days prior to check in, beginning today. For all other guests who have pre-purchased valid park admission, reservations will be available starting 30 days prior to their visit, beginning May 27, 2017. You may select one of these two attractions in your first set of Disney FastPass+ selections, depending on availability.
And beginning May 27 (through July 4), guests staying in select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have the opportunity to experience Pandora — The World of Avatar with special nighttime Extra Magic Hours. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels with a valid theme park admission can fly on the back of a banshee, navigate a mystical river and walk under floating mountains beyond regular park hours – from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. This benefit is in addition to the Extra Magic Hours already available to you at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

is this only for people staying in a Resort? Because I’m an annual passholder but usually don’t stay in resorts.

Just to add, we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge May 31st through June 6th and received a mailing from WDW that we are included in the group of resort stayers that will be enjoying the nightly extended hours. 🙂 So AKL is on the list!

Is this available for local FL resident annual passholders? Or would they also need to stay at a resort as that wouldn’t make financial sense to those who live in or near Orlando. Thank you.

Can I got get fast passes 60 days early will be on the disne cruise not at the Disney resort but as soon as we get off of ship going to park .

I got my Annual Pass soft opening notice on 3/24 and it was already booked. We are also booked at Coronado 3/26 and I can’t get any fast passes until 60 days before we go. Bad news. As a annual pass holder who stays at the Coronado each time we go, can sometime get NOT even one fast pass. The fast pass program is not working. Sometimes we are there for 3 days and just end up walking around because the lines are so long. It is becoming a waste of time.
What hotels are included in this extra time?

WE received a email announcing that pass-holder can have access to Pandora in the early part of May. which was exciting on to find out, the site to log did not work and after 3 hour dealing with tech support, still no good. Then we find out the blog posted a incorrect site. This is disappointing and it happens often

I got my Passholder e-mail this morning about exploring Avatar in advance. I was able to reserve my date and time for me and my family. Very excited! ???
🙁 Never got an email about Passholders getting to see Pandora early, and I’m not hearing that is says the event is full….That’s unfortunate.
I have a resort reservation for May 27 through June 1 at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I still can’t book Fast Pass+ past the normal 30 day window (we are annual passholders).
I noticed it reads through July 4th for extra magic hours. We are going in November and I hope that extra magic hours will be available at night.
According to an email I received this morning Passholders will get to preview Pandora in the weeks before it opens. I just reserved my time and date.

I love those extra magic hours evenings at Pandora for hotel guests. Hope they get extended through the fall.
As a loyal Passholder for over 10 years, it saddens me that Passholder’s get no special event. I remember as a Passholder having the special event preview for New Fantasyland. Passholders, who give Disney money on a monthly basis, have to wait an additional month to get FastPasses, with the very high possibility that they will all be reserved before we even get to try and get them.
What hotels might this include? I made a reservation at Disney’s Caribbean Beach for this purpose and do not have the ability to make fast passes yet…

Will pass holders get an opportunity to preview the rides in a soft opening or get any special benefits for fast passes?
I got mine this morning! Thanks but can you let us know if there will be DVC member preview events? We are from the UK so don’t have an Annual Pass as we won’t be able to get back to the Magic after our 3 week stay this time so we have UK 21 day Ultimate tickets.
