Are you excited as we are for the grand opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar on May 27? This Wednesday, May 24, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will host a very special dedication moment for this new land – and our #DisneyParksLIVE cameras will be there to live stream the amazing moment!
The #DisneyParksLIVE stream of the dedication will begin at 8:10 a.m. ET right here on the Disney Parks Blog. A fresh post containing the live stream will appear at the top of the blog at that time.
Pandora – The World of Avatar will give guests the chance to explore an interactive world filled with bioluminescent rainforests, floating mountains and surprising flora. Here, guests can experience Avatar Flight of Passage, an attraction that sends guests flying over Pandora on a banshee, and Na’vi River Journey, a family-friendly boat ride that travels down a mystical river.

So is there not going to be any sort of opening dedication ceremony on the 27th? A bit disappointing. My wife and I booked a special trip on the 27th in hopes of seeing the official dedication in person. If we had known, we might have not bothered with opening weekend.
Love that you guys do these streams. Thank you. I’m tuning in now (9:25) to catch the dedication but see that you moved the time to earlier. Bummed. I certainly would have tuned in earlier had I known. Maybe you guys will come up with something cool to make up for it in the typical Disney fashion? Thank you again. Please keep the streams coming.

I thank you Disney Blog so much for the recent live podcasts and making them available later online for those who missed the live event. The fireworks finale and preview were breathtaking. My family will be camping at Fort Wilderness for ten days this summer. Getting to experience virtually before our visit helps planning and navigating for when we get to a new beginning for Animal Kingdom.

Is this dedication open to the public? I’m just down the road and would love to attend. ….and does this imply The World of Avatar will be open after the dedication and prior to the official opening on the 27th?
