Disney Parks After Dark: Pandora - The World of Avatar Comes To Life At Night

The dramatic daytime beauty of the land transforms to glow by night when Pandora’s bioluminescent flora comes to life. In this shot, one of the floating mountains’ beautiful waterfalls cascades with color in the evening time.

  • Is that a “Hidden Mickey” in the water in the lower left-hand corner?

Well played, Mr. Disney. Well played indeed.

  • Just returned home from a week at WDW and 2 visits to Pandora. It is breath taking at night as everything from the walkways on up glows! You can’t miss it. Love the scenery day and night, the Night Blossom drink is to die for and the Na’vi River Journey gives a glimpse of evening even in the heat of the day. After thinking I would pass on Avatar Flight of Passage because of motion sickness, I got brave and took the leap. Not even a bit of nausea which I always leave with after riding Star Tours. It is a true mash up of Star Tours and Soarin’, which does not bother me. I watched an online video of the ride after returning home and that video made me queasy but the ride did not. Why? I think because you are on the back of a banshee that bends and gently swerves with the movement on the screen. No quick jerks like on Star Tours. And you have the smells of the land as on Soarin’ and even water splashing on you at appropriate times. I don’t do well in 3-D or XD movies. Got sick in Gravity and Captain Phillips but not on the back of a banshee on Avatar Flight of Passage. Hope this helps someone else to be brace. The experience is indescribable!
