Disney Parks Favorite ‘Kitchen Sink’ Puts on the Red, White and Blue in Celebration of Independence Day

With more than 500 restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, it’s hard to pick a favorite meal or treat.

We here at the Disney Parks Blog thought that July 4th would be a great time to showcase how you at home could recreate one of our favorites – the Kitchen Sink from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts – with a little extra “red, white and blue” spirit.

It only takes a few easy substitutions – blueberries and strawberries for bananas and blueberry syrup for chocolate syrup; and then adding some sweet extras like red, white and blue cake sprinkles, candies or edible beads. We topped ours off with some simple Independence Day decorations – but you can let your creativity take you wherever it leads.

It’s great because kids can help with the preparation; and the result is sharable with a huge group of friends.

For those who would like the recipe for the classic Kitchen Sink, of course we have it for you from Disney Parks Blog history.
