One of our favorite times of the year has finally arrived … Disney Parks Moms Panel Search 2018 is here! It’s time to announce that Search will open at noon ET on September 6, 2017 and run through noon ET on September 13, 2017!
If your friends and colleagues always seek you out for heartfelt advice on planning a Disney vacation, then we encourage you to apply! Maybe you have put together more amazing Disney vacations that you can count, and you’ve helped others do the same, then we want to hear from you!
Applicants will be selected based on their personal experience with various Disney destinations, and their ability to communicate their Disney knowledge to prospective Guests in easy-to understand and friendly ways. Sound like you? If so, then set your reminder for September 6th!
Heading into its 11th year, the Disney Parks Moms Panel is a trusted source offering tailored parent-to-parent vacation advice in a convenient question-and-answer format. Because the panel offers tips on four languages – English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese – we look forward to welcoming more bilingual panelists this year.

@jeri, The emails came out no later than Oct 3rd because Phase 2 is only open from Oct 4th – Oct 11th.
What was the email address from that let you know either you made it to round 2 or not?
Received notification that I made it to round 2!!! So ecstatic! Best of luck to everyone who made it thus far! Sorry to my fellow Disney lovers who didn’t make it… Hope you’re not too discouraged to try again next time 🙂
Theresa, the e-mail is from:
Here we go! Onto round 2! #soexcited
Who is the email actually from? Will it say “Disney”?

Got my message this morning. Did not make it:( But, I am hopeful that since I got an email I was close to making 2nd round??? I have heard a lot of people do not get notification if they don’t make it. Always next year!
Congratulations to all of you who made it! Best of luck and fun. I guess I will try again next year.
I made it to the second round! Wahoo!!
Do they notify you if it goes either way?
Congrats, Anne!!! Hope to hear soon! Is there such thing as refreshing email too many times? ? hopeful!!
Just opened my Disney email…I’m on to round 2!! Congratulations to others and best of luck to those still waiting to hear.
Just got the notification – made it to the 2nd round! Hooray, hooray! Good luck to everyone!
Last year the notifications started to go out on October 3rd or so according to the blog of one of the current 2017 panelists.
Last year when I applied, it was about the first week of October before I heard either way. I hope we hear back soon!
If you have applied to the Mom’s Panel,
Please post and let us know if you are going on to the second round. Good luck to everyone who has applied.
I keep checking my email as well….I’m with you ladies, the anticipation is killing me ??
I am also checking my email constantly. Does anyone know when we will know one way or the other? I am a nervous wreck.
Sara, I’ve been thinking the same thing. LOL! I haven’t heard anything but I wasn’t sure when we would get notified.
Has anyone heard back yet about moving on to the 2nd round? I want to stop checking my email like a crazy person. (Haha.)
Replying to BRITTANY. The application process ended September 13. Maybe that’s why?
Anyone else struggling to submit their application?? I have done it twice, and after I hit submit, there’s a link you can go to to ensure they received the application. Both times, it tells me I have not submitted anything, and I have to redo it! Any suggestions??
I’m currently booked for a WDW vacation to start on December 2. Will that interfere with training if selected?
I’ve used the panel many times and there are men and grandparents. I don’t think being a “Mom” is required. My guess is the name will change at some point to encompass that or just to be politically correct. 🙂 But here is the line from the “About” section of the panel site.
“The Disney Parks Moms Panel is the ultimate digital resource for you to receive helpful tips and heartfelt advice about Disney vacation destinations from real moms, dads and in the know family members.”
I would love to represent not only Canada, but parents from remote areas. Living in Northern Ontario, a trip to WDW is not only magical but full of travelling challenges.
I would also love to apply, but I’m not yet a parent myself. I have a couple young nieces and nephews who I’ve spent plenty of park time with though.
@James, I never noticed!!! Thank you and I’ll apply today!
4 of which*
Joel/Dan, the panel is not gender specific. The 2017 panel has 28 people, which of which are men.
IN the section where it talks about requirements…….it says no age discrimination…but it says you have to be a “parent” which I am, but no kids at home anymore. I have applied several times because all my “adult” friends come to me for information about “adult only” trips to Disney properties or cruises. I never make it past the first round. I feel like I have a great deal to offer for adults taking trips to WDW in particular. I am going to try one more time.
It would be a dream come true to have people seek me out for advise on Disney, its my absolute favourite subject 🙂
Yes Joel, I agree! How about a “Dad’s Panel” 🙂 I’m not asking for equal time as you’d think… but I love the Mom’s Panel and personally, I have a LOT to offer and a Dad’s Panel, with a perspective from a working Dad who makes plans for his family, would be great!
I’ve contributed to many blogs, given travel advice from what to pack, to a proper check-out checklist (yes, I have one!) and all things in between. My wife and I have traveled to many Disney Parks, are DVC Members, and with my wife loving my plans, I’ve made itineraries for us, and all the family and friends who know that I’m very good at Disney travel planning and tips. So , just a thought! Meanwhile, good luck with your search. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect Mom for your panel. 🙂
Is it restricted to women? I’m a stay at home dad with my 9-month old but I’ve always appreciated the content that comes from the Mom’s Panel and feel I could be a valued contributor.
Oh I would love to be a panelist, I love helping others plan their Disney vacations. But I don’t think I could do the training since I can’t leave my toddler for long periods of time.
So exciting! Feels like a silly question, but do you have to be a parent to qualify? It isn’t listed in the requirements, but that may be because it’s a given. Thank you so much!
