Staterooms remain for 2018 Member Cruise

“Christmas in July” may have weaseled its way into the cultural consciousness, but I’ll be turning the tables this holiday season, thinking about July over Christmas.

I’ll do this not just because scratchy sweaters make me miss summer, but also because my teammates and I will be ramping up production on the 2018 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise, sailing July 23-27 on the Disney Dream out of Port Canaveral, Fla. We’re packing the four-night voyage with a full sea day of special entertainment and lots of surprises on Castaway Cay, turning each of our two visits to Disney’s private-island paradise into a unique experience.

Call Member Services soon if you’d like to join us.

To give you a feel for the Member Cruise experience, we put together a little “sizzle video” (industry speak for quick clips of fun stuff) featuring highlights from our 2017 voyage, from the exclusive entertainment to the in-room gifts. The Aug. 26-Sept. 2 sailing kicked off with an unprecedented Member Cruise Film Festival, featuring screenings of more than 20 films (including Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, months ahead of its release), studio and filmmaker presentations, interactive workshops and unique deck parties. Beyond the film festival, the voyage celebrated 50 years of Pirates of the Caribbean, unleashed the talents and insights of Disney Legends, presented concerts and conversations with Disney on Broadway stars, and more.

While we won’t reveal our 2018 entertainment lineup until the ship sets sail on July 23, I’ve been cleared to tell you that some really cool people are going to present some really cool stuff in some really cool ways. Oh, and some other cool people will deliver cool stuff to your stateroom daily. (Please be cool and keep all of that between us.)

If you’re intrigued, stop whatever you’re doing and call Member Services immediately to snatch up one of those last remaining staterooms. Sorry, that sounded pushy. I meant sit back, relax, enjoy the video…and then immediately call Member Services to book your stateroom. (Did I mention the in-room gifts?)

  • Totally cool.

  • I was so close to booking this cruise but luckily did not as my wife is now pregnant and due in June. Maybe next year.

  • Which night is Pirates’ Night on the 2018 Members’ Cruise?
