As part of Shanghai Disney Resort’s “Share the Joy” initiative to support children and communities in need, the resort hosted a group of about 250 children and their caregivers earlier today for a visit to Shanghai Disneyland.
Everyone was welcomed to the park by resort leaders and Disney VoluntEARS at a special ceremony, including leaders from the Shanghai Children’s Foundation, a local non-government organization dedicated to caring for children in need.
The children experienced Shanghai Disneyland’s world-class attractions and entertainment, as well as exclusive Chinese New Year offerings such as a performance of Shanghai Swing and visits with “God of Fortune” Pluto in Mickey Avenue.
The group was invited to experience a special Chinese New Year lunch in Wandering Moon Restaurant, where Disney VoluntEARS hosted traditional Chinese New Year activities with the children, and Mickey and Minnie made a surprise appearance. Everyone went home with special gifts selected from the resort’s New Year merchandise collection.
A special thank you to our Disney VoluntEARS who helped make this possible!
