National Popcorn Day, has inspired me to resurface one of my favorite videos we’ve shared here on the Disney Parks Blog. Originally posted by Shannon Swanson in December 2012, this video was created over the course of 12 months and features 10 of the Popcorn Animation Dolls featured on seven popcorn carts throughout Disneyland park. Read about the history of these helpful poppers in Shannon’s original story.
The ‘Popcorn People’ of Disneyland Park
by Erin Glover, Director, Publicity, Walt Disney Animation Studios
Hey Erin, I haven’t seen the Rocketeer in Tomorrowland for awhile. Has it moved?
Hi Ken – As with all of the Disneyland Resort, our popcorn carts – and people – change over time. I’m sorry, but I am not sure where the Rocketeer is right now … perhaps at a Popcorn People convention?
Erin- I noticed that Baby Harold and the normal Matterhorn cart was missing this past Saturday. Will it be back?
This is another great example of Disney’s eye for detail. My family loves to look for these hidden treasures on our visits to the Park. Next visit we will be checking out the popcorn carts! Thanks for the idea Erin!
