Family time is the cornerstone of the Disney Parks experience – and there’s no more fulfilling way to spend time together than by giving back to the community! It’s in that spirit that Disney Parks partnered with Points of Light to launch the Disney Family Volunteering Reward program to recognize and inspire nonprofits engaging families. Eligible nonprofits can earn up to 20 tickets per calendar year through the new program.

Organizations across the United States are already getting involved. As part of the new program and in honor of National Mentoring Month, 17 Big Brothers Big Sisters of America chapters across the country are hosting family volunteer activities to earn complimentary tickets to visit Disney Parks.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire earned tickets by hosting a carnival for children they serve that included a service project. Disney VoluntEARS were “BIGS for a day” at the carnival, creating care packages for seniors in need with their “littles.” Take a look at how the service project contributed to a day of fun, and how the organization was able to earn another day of fun (this time at the Happiest Place on Earth) by doing it!
