11th Class of Disney Dreamers Completes Prestigious Mentoring Program at Walt Disney World Resort

The 11th edition of the prestigious Disney Dreamers Academy mentoring program concluded this past Sunday. The students have all gone home and by now are settling back into their normal daily routines in their respective hometowns, but it’s a sure bet that the students remain fired up about their futures based on what they learned at Walt Disney World Resort this past weekend.

Over four days, the 100 students — known as “Disney Dreamers” – were encouraged to dream big, discover a world of magical possibilities and get a jump start on their dreams from some of the most well-known and accomplished professionals in their fields.

This year’s speakers included ABC’s “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin, Grammy Award-winning recording artist Ne-Yo, entertainer Jussie Smollett from Fox’s “Empire”, movie costume designer Ruth Carter, who designed the costumes for Marvel’s blockbuster hit movie “Black Panther”, NFL great Emmitt Smith, actor Miles Brown and actress Marsai Martin from ABC’s hit show “Black-ish” and many others.

Here is a quick look at what happened at Disney Dreamers Academy this past weekend.

Everyone can join the Disney Dreamers Academy community on Facebook, Twitter and disneydreamersacademy.com to find video, photos and the latest news on Disney Dreamers Academy, including when applications for the 2019 class will be available. In the meantime, continue to dream big!
