  • My sister’s family has ALWAYS had problems with this, as she is married with four kids, takes my parents, and taking me would put us over the limit). Maximum capacities of rooms (which are understandable, with fire marshals checking up on things, as I’m sure they do often) either need to be raised, or rooms need to be cheaper so more of us can come visit (I would LOVE to be included, but it’s just not feasible to get a third room for our two households).

My sis and my parents always split the kids to meet the room requirements. But, other than spending a fortune, what else can they do? (Full disclosure: they have gone without me for the past couple of trips, even as a former Cast Member, solely because they can’t find a value or moderate resort who can accommodate the nine in our family, even with two rooms, and this bums me out as the one left out, as I LOVE the resort as a whole, but it seems like it SHOULD be an easy fix; even though I could be wrong based on room size and local ordinances). Other than getting a third room, or paying MUCH more for even MORE deluxe rooms, what are our options?

  • Thank you for these tips, Wes! We often travel with a large, multigenerational family group and love staying in many of these Disney Resorts! Great job!
