While on vacation there’s nothing I enjoy more than savoring the local cuisine. And, on the new Adventures by Disney Japan vacation, debuting in 2019, travelers will get the opportunity to do just that as they explore Kyoto, Takayama, Odawara and Tokyo.
During this 11-day, 10-night itinerary, adventurers will relish world-class culinary experiences and delight in delicious local treats, such as sake tasting for adults and giant cotton candy for smaller travelers.
Do you like to play with your food? Well then, you’re in luck! Here you’re encouraged to get “hands on” as you discover the secrets to making traditional sushi and learn how to build a delectable bento box. You’ll also unwind as you take part in a customary Japanese tea ceremony steeped in history and tradition.
Journey to some of Japan’s most famous neighborhoods and markets, such as the colorful Takeshita Street in Harajuku, Tokyo, and Dotonbori, Osaka’s popular dining district. Here you can sample local culinary delights, often as they’re hand-crafted right before your eyes!

The Adventures by Disney Japan vacation, as well as all 2019 Adventures by Disney itineraries, will be available to book beginning on May 9. Adventure Insiders, Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Golden Oak residents can book two days early, on May 7.
