Today we have an exciting update to share with you from Future World at Epcot.
Earlier this week, 960 trucks’ worth of concrete was poured to create the foundation of what will soon take shape as Epcot’s mammoth “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction. The attraction is on track to become one of the world’s longest enclosed coasters, and to house it, a new facility is being built adjacent to the existing Universe of Energy building.
Inspired by the films, the “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction will expand on the original vision of Epcot’s Future World, with an epic storyline being developed by Walt Disney Imagineering in close collaboration with the original filmmakers.

While the “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction is currently set to debut at Epcot just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, guests don’t have to wait too long to get a “Guardians” fix at Epcot. As a part of Walt Disney World’s “Incredible Summer,” Star-Lord and Gamora from “Guardians of the Galaxy” will take guests on a musical journey through the cosmos in “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot.
Guests can catch “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” five times a day from June 9 through August 19.

Disney doesn’t need to ride the coat tails of other parks. Stay family oriented please!!! As coaster dominant parks – Six Flags and Universal see my money about once every 20-30 years, it’s a shame to lose Disney to the primarily coaster themed parks.
This is going to be awesome! Future World is the best location for an attraction such as this!! EPCOT has become more and more one of my favorite parks at WDW…and this is helping to rise in the numbers!!!

I agree with Oliver, the more I watched the video, the more excited I got. Love Guardians of the Galaxy so I can’t wait to see more about the rides and also to experience it once it’s operational. Very exciting!!!!
Epcot was never my favorite park and now I have more reason to avoid it. Not everyone enjoys the same things, so why are you using the same theme in the parks?
I want more Mickey, Donald, Pluto and the gang. They are the reasons I go to Disney.
I feel like the more materials listed in the video, the more excited I was getting about this! Can not wait to ride this coaster, once the Guardians finally land into EPCOT!
