New Run Events Coming to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort This Fall

Runners of all ages, we’re excited to announce two new races coming to Disney Parks in Asia!

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s 10K Weekend is back and bigger than ever on November 3-4, this year with a new Disney·Pixar theme. All skill levels will enjoy races themed to The Incredibles, Monsters University, Toy Story and Mickey & Friends. Dozens of characters from beloved Disney·Pixar movies will cheer runners on as they race through Hong Kong Disneyland and around the resort.

Four new exclusive race medals are up for grabs, plus limited-edition merchandise. Winners of The Incredibles 10K will also receive perks like a one-night stay at Disney Explorers Lodge or lunch buffet at the resort. Registration for this event is open June 28 through August 28.

Shanghai Disney Resort will host its first-ever Disney Inspiration Run on September 15-16 with three specially-designed courses winding through the resort’s most iconic features, including Enchanted Storybook Castle and the new Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land. All three courses finish alongside the picturesque Wishing Star Lake.

Music, entertainment and Disney characters will greet participants along the way. Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a unique race medal featuring either Mickey Mouse, Donald or Pluto to commemorate the occasion, and all participants will be able to purchase Shanghai Disneyland tickets at a discount to enjoy the park with family and friends after their run. Registration for this event is open July 2 through August 10.

Fall is just around the corner, so dust off your running shoes and start planning those costumes!

    Are there maybe tickets sold in an package with hotel en entrance?

  • Yes, unfortunately both Shanghai and Hong Kong were sold out immediately. They allow only a small number of runners (I think 5000 for the 10k). Will try next year again!

  • Is the registration for the Shanghai runs already closed? It was confusing as to when the registration started since they didn’t provide a timezone.
