Brian Ford is a Project Manager for Digital Guest Experience at the Disneyland Resort, coordinating digital product rollouts like the recently introduced Mobile Order, available on the Disneyland app. Brian began his Disney career 23 years ago as an hourly food and beverage cast member in Fantasyland. Always inquisitive, Brian continued to ask questions and take every opportunity to try a different role.

In this “Every Role a Starring Role,” see how Brian works with teams across the company to bring new technology to our guests, and his journey at the Disneyland Resort. As Brian notes, “You never know where any job is going to lead you.”

  • Disneyland has a long way to go to catch up to the awesome technology of Walt Disney World’s Magic Bands.

We stayed at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel recently. I had to carry a room key card, park admission card, Photopass card, credit card, cash and my phone. When we stayed at Disney World, the Magic Band did EVERYTHING – room key, park admissions, Photopass, Fastpasses, dining plan and credit card. I only carried my phone.
