In our month-long Christmas in July series, the Disney Parks Moms Panelists are talking all things holidays, and this week the panelists are sharing the advantages of being a Disney Vacation Club member during the festive season.

“Christmas is when you truly appreciate the Disney Vacation Club’s home away from home atmosphere. We always bring some holiday decorations with us, including a Christmas tree to put up during our holiday stay,” explains Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Anna. “With the full kitchen in the one bedroom and larger Disney Vacation Club villas, I like to cook some of our family’s holiday favorites – a baked ham on Christmas Eve and fresh cinnamon rolls to start off Christmas morning. We open gifts, share family traditions, and then get to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. It’s the best of both worlds.”

“What do DVC members think of when the summer sun is hot and many of us have our sandy toes in warm beach waters?” asks Jerry. “We think of snowflakes on Main Street, U.S.A. and sweaters on Mickey, of course! By nature, Disney Vacation Club members are always thinking ahead and planning our next magical stay. And when it comes to the holidays, we as members can always look forward to lots of membership magic.”

Jerry also enjoys the special discounts members can enjoy for celebrating the spirit of the season at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights. Disney Vacation Club members can also enjoy exclusive, special holiday events that are offered on both coasts for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Being a Disney Vacation Club member may also mean being able to celebrate the season in a completely different fashion. For Jennifer L. and her family, there is nothing more magical than using their membership to celebrate the Christmas season at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa.

“Aulani is my family’s favorite Christmas destination. Holiday touches are literally around every corner. I love the exotic Hawaiian flowers decorating trees and garland throughout the breathtaking lobby. My son loves hunting for mischievous Menehune hiding around the entire Resort, and this time of year means they are wearing festive Santa hats. Disney Characters visiting the Resort for the season are also dressed in their holiday best, but with a Hawaiian flare, of course!”
