I’m a lifelong Disney fan, so one of my most anticipated movies of the year is Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns.” Emily Blunt is practically-perfect as the nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure. And I can’t wait to see what Lin-Manuel Miranda brings to the film, playing Mary’s friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light – and life – to the streets of London.

The latest trailer for the film was just released. Take a look!

In Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns,” an all-new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss.

Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns” arrives in theaters December 19, 2018. I’m already making plans to see it opening weekend at AMC 24 at Disney Springs here at the Walt Disney World Resort! Who’s with me?

  • I got tickets! I am so excited!

  • Admittedly, as a constantly, happily, avid ‘Disney’ fan myself, watching the brand new, coveted, beloved, ‘Mary Poppins’ trailer, perfectly debuting during Christmas week, I couldn’t contain my thrill and excitement, specifically bringing up special memories created and revisited throughout my childhood, all thanks due in part to the magic and authenticity that Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke brought together to the big screen, touching every generation possible!p, millennials included.

With that said, like many other classic, die-hard movie fans out there looking forward to this special, once in a lifetime premiere event, I can’t wait to see the beautiful progression that occurs between then and now, as carefully detailed and easily illustrated through the infamous roles portrayed by Emily Blunt and Lin Manuel Miranda!

To have a fresh, new spin on an incredible story is the equivalent of a memorable line, ‘Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down in the most delightful way!’

With a fine tune up to the cast welcomes numerous, additional, original, catchy, recorded songs readily available to be sung on top of our lungs in the coming year, need I mention much needed focus on the modern updated, colorful wardrobes and beautiful, on-set locations, courtesy of an abundant creativity and imagination provided by the long time child, family friendly film!

  • I can’t wait to see this movie. I get all gushy with the trailer! I grew up watching Mary Poppins. Like the other guests have said, I hope Disney will show a special preview of it.

  • I would love it if theaters would show a double feature of Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Returns when the new movie debuts. If they’re really ambitious, they can make it a triple feature with Saving Mr. Banks.

    • Phillip – Great idea! If they don’t, I may just have to do that on my own at home.

  • Will there be special sneak previews of Mary Poppins Returns at Disney California Adventure and Disney’s Hollywood Studios after The Nutcracker and the Four Realms comes out to Theaters on November 2, 2018.

Can’t wait to see Mary Poppins Returns in Theaters come after Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

  • I am! Will be watching the premier onboard the Disney Fantasy at sea. The original Mary Poppins was a part of my creative development growing up.

  • Is there going to be a special showing for Mary Poppins Returns at Disney? C’mon guys this is Mary Poppins, Christmas time and Disney. Let’s do this!

  • Me! Can’t wait to see Mary on big screen:)
