I confidently, suddenly, calmly felt a perfectly familiar, great big lump well up, forming somewhat, relatably, uncomfortably deep within my throat, just patiently, actively, simultaneously waiting to collect itself and peak whilst welcoming emotionally vulnerable tears held back at the exact right moment, representing an equally, mentally tough, convincingly difficult struggle verified by Walt Disney’s infamous line, regarding the sole, inventive creation of Mickey, ‘It all started with a mouse!’
‘Toy Story’s’ best selling, enthusiastic, hit theme song, ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’ only furthers that proof and reminder, as successfully, highly mentioned in Sunday night’s exclusively televised special, specifically dedicated to a young at heart, 90 year old, only attended by a select, few, chosen famous friends and ‘VIP’ celebrity guests, happily, successfully, consistently appearing on stage, individually presenting their significant parts and offering as much cleverly easy, helpful, bright insight into the past, as much as into the soon, upcoming future!
Thoughtfully strong, provoking words often used, associated and reiterated to describe or associate Mickey have everything to do with magic, fun, happiness, friendship, and smiles, as proudly, directly illustrated, rewarded, celebrated and measured by those in record attendance, including the long time famed, promoted, ‘Mickey Mouse Club,’ sporting immediately recognizable, synchronized, battery powered, technologically advanced, headband inspired light up ears for the grand, heartfelt, sing-along finale.
Of course need I mention, several, notable, creative, artistically patterned costume changes occurring in between commercial breaks and being live on air?
Surely, blowing out that many candles proved to be anything less than a chore as first, primarily, cheerfully standing upon his own, layered, flavored cake, met with much deserved celebration, pomp and circumstance, excitedly joined by festive, colorful party streamers and balloons, introduced by Robert Iger, wishing, saluting ‘Disney’s’ beloved mascot and fashion icon, a happy birthday at ‘Mickey’s 90th Spectacular!’
Anyone without any tv providers able to watch this? I downloaded the ABC app on my smartphone and it keeps telling me to log in with my tv provider. Very sad Disney! Not all of the world subscribes to cable tv today.
Is there a way to watch this in Australia
Will this be streamed online for those of us who don’t have cable?
Will we be able to watch if we don’t have ABC? Will it be streamed online without a cable subscription?
I’d love to see this show in the UK. I have a Disneylife account. Is there anyway for UK fans to see this? Thanks!
I miss the days when Disney would do specials like this in the theme parks. This special and the Disneyland 60th special were both filmed in the Shrine Auditorium and should have been filmed in the theme parks which would have given the special a more “Disney” feel to it.
Great lineup. But will there be Mouseketeers?
