In today’s Disney Doodle, artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Baloo and King Louie from the 1967 film “The Jungle Book” would do if they could visit Magic Kingdom Park.

According to Ashley, they’d likely take in one of the park’s attractions that receive a seasonal makeover for the holidays – The Jungle Cruise, which at this time of year transforms into The Jingle Cruise.

“King Louie is always trying to be more like mankind,” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine him and Baloo trying to learn more about the holidays while they decorate The Jungle Cruise.”

  • The Jingle Cruise was the biggest surprise during my first visit to the Magic Kingdom. I came for the Halloween Party, and then two days later was AMAZED to see the Jungle Cruise all decorated for Christmas on Nov. 1. It kept getting better and better as I saw the the whole ride decorated with a Christmas Tree and letters to Santa from the crew and skipper, and then every skipper joke was Christmas themed! Thank you for this lovely Disney Doodle. 🙂

Agreed – it should come back to Disneyland!

  • Why doesn’t Jungle Cruise convert to “Jingle Cruise” at Disneyland any more? It was so much fun every year.
