Keep an Eye on the Disney Parks Blog for a Fresh Disney Springs Perspective in 2019

As 2019 gets underway, there is so much to look forward to at Disney Springs! On the horizon: Jaleo by José Andrés (opening this winter), The NBA Experience (coming this summer) and lots (and lots!) of exciting new merchandise soon hitting the shelves. I have loved sharing all things Disney Springs with the Disney Parks Blog community, so it’s bittersweet for me to pass the torch to the newest Disney Parks Blog author, Kelsey Noland.

Starting next week, Kelsey will be your eyes and ears on the ground, sharing the latest happenings from Disney Springs. No stranger to the property, she also oversees the social media content for @DisneySprings on Twitter and Instagram, so if you’re not already following us on these popular platforms, now’s the perfect time to start!

It’s been almost six years since I wrote my first story and I can only hope that Kelsey enjoys it as much as I have. Truly, the opportunity has been one of the highlights of my Disney career and I will miss it immensely. (And in case you’re wondering, I’ll continue making magic for our guests, just from a more “behind-the-scenes” locale – so I’m not going far.)

While it’s impossible for me to pick a favorite story, below is a look back at a few of my most memorable moments!

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you around the Springs!

  • Are there recent updates to NBA experience? Recently watched a video blog and the sign says “Winter 2019” but everything online says Summer 2019. My husband has been excited about that all year and we planned to go in Sept hoping it would be open.

  • Hi Darcy,
Do you have any updates on the Cirque du Soleil show based on Disney Animation that you reported back in December 2017? I hope there is a show for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.

  • What a great way to say “See ya’ real soon!” Thanks, Darcy!

  • Darcy–I have really enjoyed your reports and stories from/about Disney Springs. I hope you will continue to write for the blog from time to time, to let your fans know how you are doing, and “what’s new” at WDW. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with your readers, and good luck in your new “posting.”

  • Congrats, Darcy!

  • Best of luck with your new position!
