In the midst of social media’s golden age, sharing vacation pictures on Instagram is a way to stay connected with loved ones while you’re away, preserve memories from your trip and of course – brag a little about all of your exciting adventures! Disney Cruise Line’s Alaska itineraries are full of unique photo opportunities you won’t find anywhere else. Here’s a shot list featuring four of my favorite Insta-worthy moments!

Family on the Disney Wonder in Alaska

#Glacier
Nothing announces to the world that you are finally crossing Alaska off your bucket list quite like a quintessential picture in front of a glacier! Admire the scenic landscape from the comfort of the Disney Wonder or sign up for a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure for a close up shot, the choice is yours! (Hint: There are some great vantage points on the upper decks!)

Mickey and Minnie in Alaska

#MickeyMouse
Are you an Instagram fashionista? Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are ready to help you show off your Alaska style during character meet and greets wearing outfits you’ll only encounter when on a Disney Cruise to Alaska.

Family Dining in the Disney Wonder in Alaska

#FoodPhotography
Photogenic food is a given on any Disney vacation and a Disney cruise to Alaska is no exception. Exclusive to Alaska itineraries are Disney Cruise Line’s regionally-inspired menu items. You’ll want to snap a photo before digging in because these dishes look just as delicious as they taste.

Family Dog Sledding in Alaska

#DogsOfInstagram
Attention all dog lovers – this one is for you! Visiting the Musher’s Camp at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park is not only a chance to experience an iconic northern tradition, but also the perfect Instagram photo opportunity for an unforgettable action shot. Mush!

  • It’s fun to post cruise photos on social media, but unfortunately (at least on our two Disney Wonder cruises), there was no free WiFi or working data on the ship. You have to pay for a pricey wifi package on board, look for WiFi at the destination ports, or wait until you get home to post your photos.
