May Member Cruise to Celebrate Walt Disney Like Never Before

There’s something about planning our first Member Cruise from the Golden State that makes us feel closer than ever to the man most of us never met but still call “Uncle Walt.”

It’s with our famous founder in mind that we’re bolstering the May 15-20, 2019 voyage’s special-entertainment lineup with something we’re calling the “Walt Disney Signature Series.” This new collection of shows will invite Members to follow in Walt’s footsteps through “The Happiest Place on Earth,” get an inside look at the Disney family’s commitment to preserving the story of the man behind the mouse, go into the kitchen with a chef whose Disneyland career began when Walt still walked the park and join Walt on his global travels.

Other shows in our lineup beyond the “Walt Disney Signature Series” will honor Walt’s belief that we must “keep moving forward,” from an artist showcase starring a still-working animator whose Walt Disney Animation Studios career began when Walt still ran his namesake studio to presentations and experiences celebrating what’s new and next in Disney filmed entertainment, music and more.

While Member Cruise entertainment is always subject to change and our lineup of more than a dozen shows won’t be truly locked in until the Disney Wonder leaves San Diego for San Francisco, I’m just too excited about our “Walt Disney Signature Series” to not share with a few of my friends here on the Disney Parks Blog. (Just keep it between us.)

Call Member Services soon if you’d like to join us on our voyage from California to Canada (featuring stops in both San Francisco and Victoria, B.C., en route to Vancouver, B.C.), as less than 10 percent of the ship’s staterooms remain available. In the meantime, learn more about the voyage online at
