Disney Celebrates Cast Members Around the World on International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day—a global celebration of women’s achievements and an opportunity to explore how everyone can help create a more gender-inclusive world. Here at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products we’re marking the occasion by celebrating the tens of thousands of Women Behind the Magic, with more than 100 cast member events across the globe—including expos, speaker sessions, networking and development opportunities, and wellness programs—that will empower and inspire.

This worldwide event is part of our efforts to put a culture of inclusion at the heart of our workplace—and to us, inclusivity means that every cast member feels like they belong, their voices are heard, and their efforts are valued. And whether it’s through programs like Disney Aspire, the myriad of professional development opportunities available to cast members, or our employee resource groups, we’re committed to ensuring that our cast members have access to resources and support to help them grow their careers.

So whether it’s backstage at our parks, or behind the scenes in our offices, we are taking what is already one of the best places to work in the world, and making it even more so.

I’m also pleased to share that in the next few weeks we’ll kick off a new “Women Behind the Magic” story series, showcasing some of the amazing women who use their unique perspectives and skills to make magic in a variety of ways. We can’t wait to kick off this new series and introduce you to them!

  • Hi Catherine. Great to see you on Disney Parks Blog. You were such an inspirational leader of Disneyland Paris and had a huge impact on the culture of the park.

  • Wonderful!
