This week, we shared an exciting announcement many of you have been waiting to hear – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening ahead of schedule on May 31 at Disneyland Resort in Southern California and August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.
That’s right – it’s debuting early because of high guest interest in experiencing this new, immersive land. Visit our original Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge story for important information you should know before you go and begin your own Star Wars adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
We also celebrated this week’s kick-off of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival with a special spring episode of “Inside Disney Parks” featuring a backstage look at this year’s character topiaries – and shared a look at the topiary that just may be the surprise hit of the event!

Spoke to Disney ..no reservations have been set as of yet and no way to reserve as of today. Still yet to be determined. Only those staying at Disney’s 3 hotels during reservation time will have guaranteed reservation to new park, at this point.
Since the Extra Magic Hour for Disney resort guests will not grant access into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, will there be any incentives to staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, as far as getting queue reservations into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge after June 23rd?
I don’t really care about getting into the land as much as I care about getting into Dland in general that day. We are only there for four days and May 31 is our last day in Dland and I want to make sure we can get in. I wish they would tell us when we could make reservations – that would at least guarantee me into the park.
Like you, came here hoping to find more info on a reservation system for Galaxys Edge. Don’t want to book a hotel room, without knowing my options before traveling to Anaheim.
I found that they posted some information about the reservations on the ‘know before you visit’ page of the galaxy’s edge park page. You’ll only need to have reservations during the first month the area is open, after that they don’t appear to require a reservation, BUT access will be limited (aka there WILL be a line), access is NOT guaranteed.
Reading between the lines, it appears that the ‘reservations’ during may – june 23rd, will be given to those people staying at one of the Disney hotels.
Any word yet on how to request a reservation for Galaxys Edge? I sure don’t want to miss it!
How do we go about getting the free reservations for Galaxys Edge at Disneyland? Have they released any more information? I don’t want to miss it as this is my birthday gift to myself.
I don’t think any body is getting answers?
Could someone please tell me where I would go to see the answers to the above questions on how do we RSVP for Galaxys Edge? Thank you!
Have they listed where we can reserve for Galaxy edge in the end May?
Why open in May? The other ride, Rise of the Resistance, (I think) won’t even be open yet.
In what month could we possibly hear about the reservations for the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland?
Any word on rsvp for Stsr Wars
any word on when rsvp for galaxy edge will begin?
