It’s currently one of my favorite times to visit the Disneyland Resort. ¿Por qué? Happening now through April 23 is Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! Join us as we celebrate the rich flavors and diverse tastes of California cuisine, which includes many Latin-inspired dishes.

Disneyland Resort Chef Jimmy Weita weighed in on a few of his favoritos:

BLT Chicharrón Duro with Ranch Crema, LAstyle Marketplace

“This is probably my top dish at the festival,” mentioned Chef Jimmy. “I actually stumbled upon [a duro] while on vacation in the southwest and thought it was perfect for our festival. Of course, it’s our spin on a classic duro, complete with ranch crema and smoked bacon.”

Anaheim Chile Relleno Bites with Salsa Verde

“Many of our cast members have culinary traditions at home. In fact, one of our talented cooks came up with this delicious concept. Chile Rellenos are a staple in Mexican cooking, but our version is perfectly bite sized—topped with salsa verde and crema!”

Cauliflower Ceviche with Chile Corn Crumble and Tortilla Strips

“Also inspired by one of our cooks, this ceviche is so delicious. What makes it unique is that it’s completely vegan! There is still plenty of flavor and texture, you’ll definitely want seconds!”

If you are looking for a cool drink to accompany, there are two great options: Cool Lime Michelada with Frozen Lime Ice available at Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit Marketplace and Jalapeño-Lime Margarita available at Peppers Cali-Ente Marketplace.

  • I’m a vegan. I wish there were more options at F&W. But, the Vegan option Disney does have are GREAT! The Ceviche is so good I got 2. Disney has added so many vegan options in both parks in the pass couple of years, Disneyland was named the most vegan friendly park in the USA. Yumm yumm more please!
