If you are headed to the Disneyland Resort, you’re going to want to check out this list of some of the most magical photo stop locations that can be found in Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park. Our Disneyland panelists have hundreds of photo location ideas, but they’ve narrowed it down to a few of their all-time favorites.

In Disneyland park, Disney Parks Moms Panelist Kristin never misses an opportunity to snap a family photo in front of the most iconic attractions.

“There’s something so magical about a picture in front of the “it’s a small world” facade, especially when timed just right with the Disneyland Railroad chugging along right behind it!” she exclaimed. “And the bright colors and whimsical designs of the Mad Tea Party teacups are the perfect backdrop for family photos, both day and night, thanks to the multicolored lanterns hanging above. I especially love capturing shots of the pure joy my kids experience spinning in a tizzy, mid-ride!”

Another favorite spot in Disneyland park for all the panelists to snap that photo of a loved one is King Arthur Carousel.

Jennifer’s son on King Arthur Carousel

“Pictures on King Arthur Carrousel are such a classic way to capture the pure joy your child experiences on this timeless attraction,” Jennifer L. explains.

Tony’s Family at Guardians of the Galaxy

Tony, father of four, definitely knows how difficult it can be to get teenagers to partake in a family photo. That is until someone mentions Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure park. Then, and maybe only then, will even the coolest of teens smile for that pic!

A few of Tony’s other favorite photo spots include Pixar Pier and Paradise Bay.

“Pixar Pier is bursting with energy, day or night! It’s simply a gorgeous view to take in,” he said. “Paradise Bay, across from the Pixar Pal-A-Round, offers ample space to take photos of large groups. And at nighttime it sparkles with the lights of Pixar Pier behind it.”

Kristin and child with Minnie

“All three of my children have loved taking pictures with their favorite Characters in front of the plane next to Soarin’ Around the World, so this spot holds a special place in my heart,” said Kristin. “Time this shot with the Disneyland Monorail whizzing by for extra Disney magic!”

When headed to Disney California Adventure park, Jennifer L. recommends entering Cars Land from Pacific Wharf. “This entrance offers one of the most breathtaking and stunning views in the entire Disneyland Resort. Seeing the towering Cadillac Range in Ornament Valley is even more impressive when this whole land literally glows each night.”
