For the first time in 14 years, we’re introducing a brand-new, Halloween fireworks spectacular to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park!
The spooky fun event, that happens on select nights from August 16 to November 1, will feature returning favorites along with all-new experiences, including the debut of an incredible new fireworks spectacular. As you can see above in the very first scene to be released, this new show will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.
I’m already so eager to see this new show! And if you are looking for an extra special way to celebrate the brand new show in its first year, our fireworks dessert parties are the perfect option! Other returning favorites include:
- “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade,” which happens twice nightly and features favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best, along with the Disney villains and a cavalcade of fiendishly fun floats.
- Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam in Fantasyland is the spot for all of the young partygoers to get their groove on with favorite Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins and Vampirina.
- In Frontierland, prospector Cactus-Flower Cate rounds up youngsters for the “Frontierland Costume Promenade,” encouraging them to show off their costumes in a quest for the greatest treasure in the land – candy! The “Frontierland Costume Promenade” takes place just prior to each run of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade.

We love Magic Kingdom and visit as 2 adults in….mid-life. Is the halloween party just for kids (and parents)?
We are so pumped up this. My family love’s this event and the New Fireworks seem wild! We can always count on Disney to “bring the magic” again & again!!
I have not attended MNSSHP before, but here is what I know: the party is a hard ticket event, which means you have to buy a separate ticket to attend, even adults. Your day pass will not get you into the party and you do not need a daytime pass for the event. Cast members will direct guests without the wristbands toward the exit. The parade occurs at 2 different times: around 9 and 11 pm. Fireworks only one time around 10 pm. Plus, there is the show in front of the castle, there were 3 different show times last year. You are encouraged to dress up- even adults! There are rules/guidelines, so be sure to check those out. Remember, it is a family event. 😉 There will be character meet and greets- and the fab 5 will be in their Halloween costumes. Be sure to get a map for the party when you arrive because it has showtimes, character meet-ups, and treat spots. The park is decorated for the season, so even if you do not attend the party, there will still be plenty of festive decorations to admire. Hope this helps!
My family will be visiting Florida on Oct 5th to visit Magic Kingdom. My dates will not coincide with Mickey Not So Scary, however, will the park be decorated and cast members in costumes?
Noticing that very few questions are being answered with and exact answer. Is this a “separate EXTRA TICKET that you have to purchase or can you get into this event w your day pass to the park? Also, do the adults also have to purchase a ticket EXTRA for this event? I tried to purchase earlier but the site is confused when I put in how many tickets I want..it already has it set for 3 and wont reset

We have dinner reservations at California Grill on September 20, and were planning to see the fireworks from the restaurant´s observation deck. Will the new halloween fireworks and light show be as easily seen from California Grill as the previous fireworks show? Thank you.

Hello friends! Having attended many times perhaps a few answers? If you have a day pass and a party ticket (as long as trandition holds) they will put a wrist band on for the party that is checked for trick-or-treat, access to rides so you do miss out. I don’t recall being asked to leave but do not know RE:just hanging around for the parade but do not be surprised if you are asked to exit if you do not have a wristband. And if you are in the park they have plenty of people doing wrist bands. If you do not have a day pass but just an event ticket then you do not need the day pass but you cannot enter the park until after 4:00 pm at the earliest. And the parade happens twice before and after fireworks so if you do the desert party you should still find time to catch the parade. Hope these comments ring true and are helpful.
I continue to be confused about the ticket to the evening event. We have day passes (staying at Disney works resort). So do we need to also buy additional tickets for the evening?
If so how does it work – do they ask all patrons to leave and those with passes re-enter?
Or if no special event pass but a day pass only , what do we miss out on? (Eg extra ride time , miss parade??). Trying to understand so we can make informed decision

For those asking, you only need an event ticket for MNSSHP- a park ticket is not needed. The party will start at 7pm for those who bought the ticket, but you can enter the park as early as 4pm with your wristband on.

What time are the parades at the Halloween Party? We want to eat at the Crystal Palace but do not want to miss any of the festivities. We are going on 8/27 and are trying to figure out the best time to make a reservation.

We will be eating at the California Grill on August16th and would like to return later this night to see the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary for this the first night of the new Mickey’s Not So Scary! I cannot find any information regarding the time of the fireworks?
Whenever I book my Disney Holiday, I also make sure that I come when Halloween is on. I love this time of year to visit as it’s so much fun and the fireworks, lit up castle and parade are my favourites. I love the image and I can’t wait to see all the new fireworks show. You do such a fantastic job with these events. Thank you.
