Celebrate National Golf Day at the ‘Happiest Place on Turf!’

Today is National Golf Day and there’s not a better place to have a magical golf experience than at Walt Disney World Resort.

You probably already know about our three 18-hole championship courses – Disney’s Palm, Disney’s Magnolia and Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course – and our 9-hole walking course, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, that is fun for the whole family.

But there’s a lot more that’s magical about playing golf at Disney. Here are just a few of the ways that Walt Disney World Golf takes the game to another level:

Disney-Themed Refreshment Carts

We’ve added a little more Disney magic to the golf experience at our Walt Disney World Resort golf courses with refreshment carts themed around beloved Disney characters.  At our Disney’s Palm, Disney’s Magnolia, and Disney’s Oak Trail courses, you’ll see refreshment carts with designs inspired by Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, and at the Lake Buena Vista course there’s a Mickey-inspired cart.

Sunrise 9 and Sunset 9

Guests looking to get in a few holes before or after hitting the theme parks can take advantage of Walt Disney World Golf’s Sunrise 9 and Sunset 9. Sunrise 9 allows golfers to play nine holes starting anytime between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., while Sunset 9 allows golfers to play nine holes with tee times as late as 7:00 p.m. daily during summertime at Disney’s Palm, Disney’s Magnolia, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista, or Disney’s Oak Trail golf courses.

Mickey-Shaped Bunkers

As you play a round of golf, be on the lookout for some Disney magic in the bunkers. Just behind the ninth green on both Disney’s Oak Trail and Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf courses you may find a familiar Mickey shaped bunker. And don’t forget to check out the sixth hole on Disney’s Magnolia course! Be sure to stop by and take a photo with this magical feature.

FootGolf

Played over Disney’s Oak Trail 9-hole golf course, FootGolf provides a unique experience that requires players to kick a soccer ball into a cup, in a similar fashion to golf, by using as few attempts as possible. FootGolf makes for a perfect family-friendly afternoon activity for the young, and young at heart alike.

Instruction

If you are looking for instruction and ways to improve your game Walt Disney World Golf offers quality golf lessons, clinics, and even Junior Golf Camps for all skill levels from amateur to professional.
