In our Disney Doodles series, different Disney artists take turns imagining what Disney characters would do or see first if they had the chance to visit a Disney park.
In today’s Doodle, Ashley Taylor imagines what the characters from the 1986 film “The Great Mouse Detective” would do if they could visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
According to her, they’d sniff out a place full of mystery – like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
“Basil is always looking for a new case to crack!” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine him wanting to unlock the secrets of the Hollywood Tower of Terror.”

OH I LOVE THIS! Henry Mancini’s soundtrack was so memorable for this movie! What a great combo!
The Great Mouse Detective great movie
Thanks to Ashley Taylor for today’s Doodle! It’s wonderful to see some of Disney Animation’s “older” characters showing up on this blog. “The Great Mouse Detective” was one of my daughter’s favorite movies when she was little. She even got a pet mouse, and named it Basil in the Great Detective’s honor.
