Check out tonight’s “After Dark” image, which was taken at Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park.

Here, photographer Mark Willard caught this Frontierland attraction underneath a dramatic sky at dusk. Built in 1989, the attraction offers a journey through a Southern bayou alongside happy-go-lucky Br’er Rabbit. The attraction features more than 100 adorable Audio-Animatronics geese, frogs, raccoons, possums, bees and alligators that together bring the adventure to life.

Have you enjoyed this attraction after the sun goes down?

  • Yes! This is super fun to ride after dark!

  • Beautiful picture! But I believe the year was 1992 for the WDW Magic Kingdom debut.

The original Disneyland version opened in 1989.

  • Love it. Would love to see this hanging on my wall.
