As we’ve previously announced, Disney California Adventure park will welcome Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind to Pixar Pier. I’m excited to share this whimsical family-friendly attraction will open this summer!
Inspired by the Disney and Pixar film “Inside Out,” you’re invited to step into the workplace of Riley’s Emotions—Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger. Once you hop aboard one of eight Memory Movers, you’ll take a sense-ational spin and find yourself surrounded by vibrant shelves packed with glowing recollections.
Here is a first look at a few of the attraction posters, which each explore parts of the mind as featured in “Inside Out.”

So will this be replacing the Silly Symphony Swings? It’s been “closed for refurbishment” for quite a while, and in April the tower that holds the swings up had been removed.
No, this ride will not be replacing the Silly Swings. It will be on the end of Pixar Pier, across from the Pal a Round and just Past Bing Bongs.
I love the posters! I hope they will be available for purchase in some format.
This is a great idea, both utilizing the space that was Maliboomer, and repurposing the ride that was in Flik’s Fun Fair. It will be nice addition to that section of the Pier, as it’s needed something for a while. And when the ‘Orange Stinger’ is refurbed for the 3rd time, I’m sure it will look so complete. Cannot wait.
