PHOTOS: Cavalcade of Disney Characters Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Earlier today, Disney’s Hollywood Studios kicked off its 30th anniversary celebration with a special cavalcade of Disney characters on Hollywood Boulevard!  Mickey and Minnie Mouse led the festivities honoring the past, present, and the new, exciting future of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The park’s 30th anniversary celebration included some exciting updates, including the announcement of an upcoming Toy Story Land restaurant as well as a “Toy Story” pop-up merchandise location and new park logo. Here’s a quick rundown:

New Toy Story Land Restaurant – Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be an immersive restaurant coming to the park that’ll surround guests with a whimsical kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets to give them yet another dining experience that could only be had in Toy Story Land.

Toy Story Mania! Merchandise Shop – In celebration of Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” a pop-up merchandise location will be opening at Toy Story Land later this month. Located at the exit of Toy Story Mania!, this shop will feature a variety of “Toy Story” products, including new items commemorating Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” film.

New Disney’s Hollywood Studios Logo – The park’s new logo, which emphasizes the transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios was unveiled today.  The logo features BB-8 from Star Wars, Woody and Mickey Mouse.  

Wonderful World of Animation Projection Show – And to top off the anniversary celebration, the park’s new nighttime projection show debuts tonight.  During the show, the façade of the Chinese Theatre is magically transformed, displaying a stirring tribute to animation that includes spectacular sequences celebrating themes like magic, family, adventure, romance and friendship.

Many more experiences are part of the park’s historic transformation, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the recently opened Toy Story Land, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, An Incredible Celebration on Pixar Place, and Disney Junior Dance Party!
