Thanks for “bearing” with us this week. With all of the news we’ve shared, we “fur-got” to mention our friends over at the Country Bears. Our Imagineers are always looking at ways to bring more magic to our guests through experiences and stories they know, but contrary to rumors, Country Bear Jamboree is not going into hibernation any time soon. In fact, we’re looking forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary on Oct. 1, 2021 at Walt Disney World Resort, with Henry, the Five Bear Rugs and the rest of the gang. Until then, “we hope that you’ll be comin’ back again; that you’ll drop in and see us now and then.”

If you recognized that line from the Country Bear Jamboree, you may want to test your Country Bear Jamboree knowledge with this Disney Parks Blog quiz!

If this attraction is ever replaced with marionettes, can I buy the bear swing?
Hoot Hoot Holler Holler
This is our favorite and we love going late at night during pmEMH. What time does this ride stay open until during December?
Very happy to hear this, as this is one of the attractions that will drag me across the country! Hope to see some clever, quality merchandise for the 50th- the last time I visited there was none to be found!
It’s true. This news saved my marriage. See the previous comment.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I LOVE all the classic Disney attractions, including Country Bears. My big fan girl moment on my last trip was getting to meet Liver Lips McGraw. My husband asked me today if I was going to leave him for Liver Lips. I told him, of course not – He’s got a woman and he loves her only because his heart is true!
Sooo glad to see that they are staying!!! It is a must every trip everyone from the 35, 14, 13, and 3 year old absolutely loves the bears and the birds!!! They are a must every trip, the classics are just as important as the new rides! Please don’t let them go! The classics make us happy!
Phew! I didn’t think this rumour made a lot of sense, but I was bothered none-the-less. Those original classics need to stay forever – balance out all the new IP stuff, and remind everyone what once was. And its great that new generations can appreciate them too!
Thank you for listening! The Bears and the Tiki Birds are Iconic and deserve a place of honor in the parks. I am relieved and Will come back for the 50th as planned.
Wonderful news! Those bears are adored and loved by so many.
Woohoo!
This is fantastic news! I had been hoping these rumors weren’t true and it’s a huge relief that they aren’t. CBJ is one of my favorite attractions in any Disney park and it’s a must-do for us every time we go to WDW. The history, charm, and humor of this show make it an integral part of Magic Kingdom. So happy to see it will be sticking around!
Yay! So glad to hear the rumors weren’t true and that our Bears aren’t going anywhere! My husband and I LOVE the Country Bear Jamboree (it’s one of his favorite shows at the Parks) and we always go back and visit. I still miss the original full-length show, and I’d like to add another vote to bringing back the seasonal overlays. We just recently searched for the vacation one online and loved it! The different overlays are so fun & creative — I’ll take all the Bears I can get! We always “clap our hands and stomp our feet and try to keep right with ’em!”
Oh, thank goodness! Rumors to the contrary had me very concerned. I’ve been an annual Disney guest since my first birthday in 1977 and the bears and the birds remain in my top 10 list for every trip! My 8-year old and 10-yea old feel the same way!! These attractions represent the spirit of WDW!
THANK YOU for not taking away the Country Bears!!!! This would have been a disappointment for me and my entire family!! They took it away at Disneyland to put in the Winnie the Pooh ride which as any Disneyland-goer knows is not wildly popular and we miss the Bears in CA! While sometimes they have to take away old attractions at Disneyland to make way for new ones for lack of space there is no excuse to do this at WDW where you have the blessing of size!!!! I was devastated to think the beloved bears were not going to be there!!! Disney needs to keep in mind for its guests that nostalgia means a lot and we always want to see certain Magic Kingdom originals. If Disney ever considers taking them away they should at least move them and not remove them. Put them at the Wilderness Lodge if you must since the attraction was originally envisioned for a ski resort but PLEASE do not take them away ever. Thanks for “Bear-ing” with me as I explained how much we LOVE these bears!!!! They deserve to be honored at the 50th!
Very happy to hear that our beloved Bears are safe! This is a must-do for us every trip, and we would be greatly saddened if we lost Country Bears!
Great news. I am looking forward to sharing this attraction with my granddaughter on her first WDW vacation! Just like I did with my own kids when they were little. Wonderful memories!
Have to admit, I’m not lovin’ the “anytime soon” phrase used here and Tiki Birds…
It is Walt Disney World right????
PLEASE do overlays like the vacation and Christmas ones. I can watch the regular show over and over again but the overlays are lots of fun and bring new life to treasured classic.
This is excellent news. I really love animatronics in shows/attractions. It’s something I cant get to see any place else and one of the reasons I love Disney World.
While this is not the “top attraction” in Disney I do love hitting that mid day to escape the sun. I would have been upset to see it go since this park has all the space you could ever need….. Not my words there 😉
But joy thanks for keeping it!
That is wonderful news! Thank you so much for sharing!
I will turn 50 the same year as Magic Kingdom and I can’t wait to return to celebrate the new attractions along with all of the favorites that I have come to love so much!
This is wonderful news! My family loves the Country Bear Jamboree and always make a point to see the show when we’re at WDW. I agree with others on here, if you’re looking for ways to plus the show for the 50th, the vacation hoedown and Christmas shows would be great to see again! 😉
Thank you for making it clear that the good ol’ bears are indeed acknowledged as the beloved Disney treasure they are to so many loyal fans!
Thank you! Big sigh of relief for me. Country Bear Jamboree is my favorite attraction. Also, Bear Band Serenade and Come Again are my favorite Disney songs.
This is great! I love new things too, but only if they’re not relaxing old favourites. Thanks for listening to guest feedback!
I love the Country Bears! I would love to see the Christmas show return someday too!
I wish they were still at Disneyland, really miss them. Wish they’d bring them back!
This is wonderful news! Thank you!!!
Thank you for confirming that our bears aren’t leaving!! We love this attraction and couldn’t stand to see them or the Tiki birds go!
Wonderful, wonderful news! The Bears (and the Birds!) are both foundational WDW experiences and are both among the very first things my family has to do when they visit. They’re classics and I hope they’re always there to entertain us. In fact, it would be fantastic if for their 50th anniversary they could be restored to their original full-length shows! And we’d always love to see the Christmas show return too – we’d make a special visit just for that!
Thanks again for the fantastic news – these shows mean a whole lot and it’s great to know they’re safe.
Awesome! I love the Country Bears and the Tiki Room! I’m so Happy!
Will WDW ever bring back the bears’ Summer Vacation show or Christmas show? They are both wonderful additions to the Jamboree.
THANK YOU!! This makes my heart so happy! Our 7 year old would have been absolutely crushed if the bears were taken away!
Best news of the day!!!! Maybe bring back the original show for a limited time to celebrate 50 years?? This is a generational favorite in our family.
This is great news, thank you for this update! The Country Bear Jamboree and Tiki Room are two of my favorite Disney attractions and I would be very upset to see either get replaced or significantly changed.
Thank you! Growing up in California, we always visited the Country Bears every time we went to Disneyland. It was my dad’s favorite! Now we visit the bears every time we go to WDW in memory of him. We were very sad when we heard the rumor the bears might go away. So, we’e so glad the bears are staying! Thank you, Disney!
Thank you!!!!!! This absolutely makes my day!! We love the Country Bears!!
THANK YOU!!! For the Bears and the Tiki Birds! Love those two so much!!!
Best news, thank you so much! I have so much love for the Bears and the Birds – happy to hear they will be performing for the foreseeable future. After all, they are all Magic Kingdom originals from 1971! 🙂
Thank goodness! Now if we could just get the bears to spend their vacation in Anaheim…..over in DCA perhaps?
I’m so thrilled to hear this! I’ll be turning 50 the same year as WDW, and I’ve been going there since I was 5. Every day that we went to the Magic Kingdom my father would insist that we head straight to the Country Bear Jamboree (and shortly after to the Tiki Room) – other than that, we could see whatever we wanted.
Now I take my kids to the Country Bears and the Tiki Room, and my daughter has said she looks forward one day to taking her kids to see them as well.
This is awesome! Thank you so much for addressing these rumors. It’s been quite a crazy week for the rumor mill, but I am happy to hear that our beloved bears will be sticking around for their 50th birthday! These bears mean a lot to me!
I think it’d be really great if Disney brought back the Vacation Hoedown and Christmas Special overlays!
Thank goodness! This is one of my favorite shows! I’d really hate to see anything happen to it.
I’ve always said, put the Country Bears at Grizzly River Rapids at DCA! They sing, hoot and holler while we ride! The perfect fit!
I knew those rumors were false!
I’m also hoping that the Christmas and Vacation shows will return of the 50th as well. That’d be another great way to celebrate our furry friends at the Bear Jamboree. 🙂
🙂 😀 😀 🙂 :D!!! Great News!
Yay!
This is wonderful news. Hoping we will soon see a restoration to the original full-length show, or possibly the many amazing seasonal overlays. Country Bear Jamboree is one of my favorite attractions!
