Prepare your taste buds for something special, because a new fast-casual barbecue restaurant featuring craft brews on tap will debut at The American Adventure pavilion in Epcot later this year.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will take the place of Liberty Inn, which will close July 8 to make way for this mouth-watering experience in World Showcase.

The new location will be a modern barbecue smokehouse, with all the accompanying sights, sounds, smells and flavors you love – including a large smoker preparing fine food every day right on the pavilion’s promenade. There will also be a redesigned patio for you to enjoy, so get ready to grab a brew, some barbecue, and relax inside Epcot.

Many more details to come, so keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for updates on what is sure to be a new favorite spot to find some tasty and tangy bites at Epcot!

  • I sure hope they’ll still offer the “Plant-Based Burger” that we love so much…?

  • This change is perfect. The world showcase must represent the strength of cuisine. Some cajun food would also be significant.

  • Is there an opening date set for this location yet? I will be there during the week of Nov. 18, and would love to try this!!!

  • Every year we try to make it there to get a lunch or dinner and we always have other plans. I will admit we will miss the inside sitting there to cool down after the heat of the day in World Showcase. I hope it lends itself to allowing overheated guests to get some AC even without eating there, like it does right now.

  • Sounds great! My husband and I were recently at Epcot checking off the pavilions or “countries” where we’ve enjoyed a sit down meal. That’s when we realized that the American Adventure doesn’t really have a true dining attraction to compare with Le Cellier or Les Chefs de France. Looking forward to the new improvements! This sounds like a great place to settle in and escape the heat.

  • For those who will be missing The Liberty Inn, I think The Electric Umbrella in Future World has a similar menu.

  • Our favourite place to grab a burger and a beer going to be closed on our next visit from the UK. We come twice a year and like to relax at this location as we love the Amercan Pavilion. Will this be quick service or dining plan. Full restaurant?

  • New things are sometimes good and needed and this sounds like a good idea but also heartbroken to see this go. I remember this spot was a usual for my family when I was growing up. As long as they keep a nostalgic feel to what it currently is, all is well.

  • Good move. I hope they add pulled chicken and some Double IPA beers.

  • This sounds really good, but we are going to miss the Liberty Inn. We are AP holders & Liberty Inn was always our ‘go to’ for a simple, affordable & tasty lunch for our family.

  • Aww, sad about the Liberty Inn! Where can I get that great hot dog now? 🙂 It’s one of our family’s favorite places.

  • I also hope there are vegan options

  • Sounds Awesome and I love Barbecue and I can’t wait to eat in the Barbecue Restaurant at Epcot!

  • Will there be vegan options? Hate the idea of losing Beyond Burger. :/

  • I hope they use Sam Eagle from the Muppets in the restaurant with a name like that!

  • This sounds great to me! I’m looking forward to it.

  • Will this be a quick Service location on the Dining Plan?

  • This sounds exciting but I’m sad to be losing Liberty Inn it was always a favorite place to go and hangout.

Also what about the food that just came out for guardians awesome mix will that be moving to a new location for the rest of the summer?
