Pixar Pals Parking Structure Opens at Disneyland Resort June 30

Last year, we announced plans to build another parking structure adjacent to Mickey & Friends. The new structure, called Pixar Pals, features familiar friends from Disney and Pixar films such as “Coco,” “Monsters, Inc.” and “Inside Out.”

Today, we’re excited to announce that Pixar Pals will be open for guest parking beginning June 30 – months ahead of schedule!

Pixar Pals will add more than 5,000 parking spaces to the west side of the Disneyland Resort. With additional entry lanes and a new electronic inventory system, the new parking structure will expedite guest parking and reduce traffic around the resort.

Additionally, we began installing the Magic Way Pedestrian Bridge, which is set to be completed by mid-September. This new bridge will connect visitors from Pixar Pals—over Magic Way—to the rest of the resort, allowing guests the option to stroll through the Downtown Disney District to the theme parks’ Main Entrance. By eliminating the foot traffic crossing the street at Disneyland Drive and Magic Way, the new bridge provides convenience, enhances safety, and improves traffic circulation.

These parking and transportation enhancements—along with other existing parking options throughout the resort area—are designed to improve parking and traffic flow to continue to enhance the overall guest experience at the Disneyland Resort.

  • Does this new structure increase the number of electric parking spots which are available? If so, are there any details that can be shared?

  • Are we going to be getting more electric parking spaces back? We used to have 70+ spaces but have been reduced to 14 for the last 18 months which makes it difficult to charge our car when parking at the structure since most are filled by 8am.

  • Thanks for the update!

  • Great work Disney, The bridge and the Pixar Structure look great! Increased safety and beauty.

  • Same question as above, please. Will there be more EV charging stations in the new parking lot?

  • Will the Mickey and Friends structure ever be retrofitted to include the electronic inventory system that the Pixar Pals structure has?

  • Disney, you should have added additional restrooms to Pixar Pals Parking structure.

  • What is the extra charge for parking at the electric parking spaces?

  • I haven’t been since June 20th, have they added the EV chargers back to Mickey and Friends and/or added some to Pixar?

  • I received 2 parking passes as a gift. at the time they were purchased for $20.00 They expire 12-2019 Am i able to use them in the new pixar pals lot? thanks!!

  • Another request for more EV parking info. Last time I drove my EV, I lost over an hour driving from hotel to hotel trying to find a charger so I could make it home. Looking at the ChargePoint site, there look like maybe 30 in the new Pixar Pals vs the 60 or so in Mickey and Friends (assuming still only about 14 actually accessible if the 1st level is still blocked). Any plans for the 1st level Mickey and Friends to get freed up again? Any plans to add more chargers on the 2nd level? Only “official” info I can find is really outdated.
