Day two and we are completely switching gears on this Disney vacation series…let’s talk about taking the entire family to the Walt Disney World Resort. Mom, dad, kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. You get the picture and that picture may seem daunting, but again the Disney Parks Moms Panelists are here to help you plan a Disney vacation that will meet and exceed everyone’s expectations!
Tip #1 Plan a family meeting!
With a wide range of ages in your party, it’s important to sit down and get input from everyone on what they would enjoy doing on their Disney vacation. While the more adventurous teens might be planning a day filled with Space Mountain and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain; the grandparents might be thinking more along the lines of a few great shows and then back to the resort for an afternoon rest. No problem, and according to Donyell these pre-planning strategies have actually saved their family trips to Disney!
Tip #2 Ready, Set, Go!
You’ve got the plan and now it’s time to put it into action. But wait! Everyone has selected a different park. The panelists all agree this actually can be a blessing in disguise. Let everyone go where they like. Enjoy the day whether it is filled with entertainment or Mickey Premium Ice Cream bars and then reconvene for dinner that evening.
Angie G. encourages families not to be afraid to split up. She reminds guests that you have all come together on this magical vacation and it’s important that everyone leaves with their own special memories that will last a lifetime!
Tip #3 Don’t forget to capture the memories!
This may be a rare opportunity to have your entire family at one location. The Disney Parks Moms Panel recommends families purchase Memory Maker and never miss a chance for Disney PhotoPass® Service to snap your pictures. When else might everyone be in the picture? These pictures will last a lifetime and family members will love recalling their magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort for years to come
Did you know Memory Maker includes unlimited digital downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass® photos and videos, as well as select attraction photos and videos? These are just a few of the reasons the panelists suggest including this in your vacation package.
Tip #4 All together now!
As the day winds down and it’s time to reconnect, our panelists had an amazing number of suggestions. Want to end the day with a yummy family dinner or how about a show? A few top selections included Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Coral Reef Restaurant, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria and the high-spirited Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! Because who doesn’t want to see crazy Uncle John dancing on stage?
Dessert parties or fireworks, like Happily Ever After and Fantasmic!, are also some of the panelists’ favorite ways to end the day. No matter how you decide to wrap up the day, Anne, a grandmother herself, reminds guests to soak in and enjoy every magical moment.
“Truly there is nothing more spectacular than seeing my grandchildren enjoy Walt Disney World Resort as much as I do!” she exclaims.
