Disneyland Resort ‘Decks the Halls’ for the 2019 Holiday Season, Beginning November 8

The Disneyland Resort will once again transform into the Merriest Place on Earth as guests begin their holidays here, Nov. 8, through Jan. 6. This festive season will include many holiday traditions, including cheerful entertainment, yuletide treats, specialty merchandise, sparkling décor and seasonal transformations of select attractions!

At Disney California Adventure park, “World of Color – Season of Light” will dazzle with its holiday-themed spectacular of lights, lasers, water, fire and hundreds of fountains bringing animation to life. Festival of Holidays returns, bringing the spirit of the season to life through the sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas/Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day (Jan. 3-6). For the residents of Cars Land, two attractions rely on holiday magic to transform into Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

At Disneyland park, holiday magic shines brightly with the glistening Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle. Returning entertainment includes “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular and “A Christmas Fantasy” parade. In addition, one-of-a-kind seasonal transformations will once again take over “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Check back on the Disney Parks Blog for more details as we get closer to the start of the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort on Nov. 8!

  • How can I find out when the choir performance for Christmas is happening? My husband saw it years ago and was sooo impressed. We’d like to go!

  • Love Disneyland anytime of the year, but at Christmas it is extra beautiful and special. We love everything about it. I especially look forward to the Christmas parade, just the way it is. Hope it doesn’t change. I was disappointed last year with change in the Halloween parade. They messed up bad changing the headless horseman’s part.

  • Love Disneyland during Christmas, but time for a new Christmas parade.

  • We love the park during the holidays! So excited to be “coming home” on 11/16

  • Please change the music on the xmas parade 🙁

  • Will Buena Vista Street get carolers with hand bells? I so enjoyed them when you had them a few yrs ago!!

  • Will Jingle Cruise be returning this year?

  • It’s a shame Christmas stuff goes up so fast after Halloween is coming down. It makes nothing original (undecorated for at least more than 4 months straight)

  • I think I say this every year under these holiday season announcement blogs, but the Holidays really are the most amazing and beautiful time to be at Disneyland Resort. Actually, the double-header of Halloween Time and then the Holidays is absolutely fantastic (although I miss Jingle Cruise). Those last few months of the year are my favorite time to be there. Cheerful Christmas music fills the air. Everything is so festive, flavorful and fragrant.

And I love that, wherever you go at Disneyland Resort, you can find something seasonal to do, and you can easily walk to it. For example, if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the parks but don’t want to escape the Yuletide vibe, you can mosey on over to the Disneyland Hotel and enjoy a themed afternoon tea at Steakhouse 55, or you can enjoy carolers and a beverage by the fire at the Grand Californian Hotel. Downtown Disney also has some great entertainment and decor.

I hope Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is decorated and ready for Santa once again too!

  • Will Viva Navidad be returning this year ?
