Everyone needs a trusted companion to help them through any adventure. Visitors of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park will have the chance to meet some of the galaxy’s most indispensable sidekicks: droids! Here’s a look at some of the dutiful droids who have landed on Batuu:

8D-J8

8D-J8

As a former smelter droid, 8D-J8 was reprogrammed to do one thing: turn the meat on the spit at Ronto Roasters, ensuring they are cooked to perfection. This droid brings the heat and is ready to bring your taste buds to a new galaxy.

DJ R-3X

DJ R-3X

This former pilot droid, known as “Rex,” crash landed on Batuu and was reprogrammed into a DJ by Mubo at the Droid Depot. Mubo gave Rex to Oga Garra to pay off a debt, and “DJ Rex” now provides the musical entertainment inside Oga’s Cantina – and he’s still as chatty as ever. Get ready to move to the tunes of the galaxy as DJ R-3X spins the greatest hits.

R5-P8

This sassy droid is Hondo’s most capable astromech and serves as an automated repair mechanic on the smuggler’s many starships. He calls Hondo out on many occasions, always keeping the pirate on his toes. Find him at the Spaceport inside Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Droid Depot

The droid journey continues for travelers on Batuu as they can construct and take home their very own companion from Droid Depot. Choose from either a BB-series or R-series as droid parts come and go on conveyor belts. Then, place your finished droid in an activation station to bring them to life. Droids can be further customized with personality-affiliation chips, color panels and other accessories. Watch as your droid interacts with other astromech droids, as well as with certain elements throughout Black Spire Outpost.

In addition, Droid Depot offers prebuilt droids, housewares and apparel, all inspired by the design, engineering and building of droids. Items include premium droid action figures featuring R2-D2, BB-8 and C-3PO, color changing droid figure packs and play set, droid light-up R2-D2 or BB-8 headbands, and Droid Depot work shirts and apparel.

Whether you’re hungry for a Ronto wrap or want to dance it out to some out-of-this world tunes, the droids at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are there to cater to your every galactic need. Find the BB-8 to your Poe or the R2-D2 to your Luke Skywalker on your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
