Our live stream of the return of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” at the Disneyland Resort has concluded – but the good news is that you can watch the replay below!

Since its debut performance at Disneyland 47 years ago, “Main Street Electrical Parade” has become an iconic Disney Parks parade. The nighttime spectacle features half-million sparkling lights and “electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds.” Today, the beloved parade still brings guests of multiple generations a sense of wonder, joy and – for some – warm nostalgia.

The parade will travel down Main Street, U.S.A., for a limited-time engagement taking place nightly, from Aug. 2 through Sept. 30.

Comments

  • My favorite memory is waiting across the street from the Matterhorn for the parade to start. Then the anticipation of hearing the electro voice announce “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls…” and the lights going out just in time to see the Blue Fairy leading the parade!

  • MSEP is a timeless magical Disney experience. Myself my daughter and grand daughter love it and believe it is the best memory that we have and share from all of our years of enjoying WDW. It simply is the perfect experience at the end of the day at the park! For all generations! Please bring it back to continue the magic for future park goers!

  • I appreciate the beautiful stream, for those of us who’ve always loved MSEP.
I just wish things didn’t change! Where was the float with the circus pipe organ playing?
Where was the beautiful float with “It’s a Small World”?
Good, but not great— like it once was.

It’s almost like Disney doesn’t want people to like it, so they can justify it going away in September.☹️

  • I realize there ‘have’ to be hosts..but they were directed b someone, who ruined the overall effect. Having the hosts talk right up to the first view of the first float, you missed the thrilling parade intro in electro voice:”Boys and girls, Disneyland proudly presents: The Main Street Electrical Parade!” It sets the stage for what follows.
Same at the end..hosts jump in, prematurely, cutting off/talking over: “the Main Street Electrical Parade!”
Audio levels were up and down too. While camera shots were great, audio was not to a Disney standards!

  • This parade is one of the best memories of my childhood and i just got to share it with my daughter… thank you 🙂

  • Watching from Florida. Love this parade. I miss seeing it at the Magic Kingdom. It is my favorite.

  • I first saw it as a kid in 1983 and 1985 and it left a lasting impression on me.. I took my eldest children around 2005 and saw it at DCA. And later saw it at Magic Kingdom. I love this parade so so much…

  • Main Street Electrical Parade is the first parade I ever saw at Disneyland, maybe it’s the first parade they ever had. I have always loved the beautiful rainbow colored lights and funky in a good way, catchy music. It was a particular joy that many years later, it was the first parade my son saw as a young child, by then at California Adventure. But the best memory of all was the first time I saw my son in it as parade performer when it came back home to California three years ago. I hope it never goes away forever because it will never lose it’s magic for me.

  • Native Southern Californian, here, now living in Utah. (Can’t wait to move **back** btw.) I grew up with this parade. Streams like this help with the home sickness. Thanks, Disney, for making this available!

  • My first viewing of the parade was in the summer of 2010 at Walt Disney World when I was 9 years old. To this day, I listen to the music everyday because it’s so catchy and nostalgic for Disney fans everywhere! Can’t wait to see it again starting August 9!

  • We saw it many times at WDW and really miss it. Wish they would have a night parade again. My husband, Ray and I will be watching from Westfield, NJ.

  • Our family’s first viewing of the Main Street Electrical Parade was at Walt Disney World in July 1984, and our latest (but hopefully not last) viewing was at Disneyland in April 2017. There is so much to enjoy at the six Disney theme parks in the U.S.A., but for my wife, NOTHING can hold a candle to the incomparable Main Street Electrical Parade. Somehow, may it live on.

  • The very first time I saw it when it premiered in Walt DisneyWorld.

  • While working at the Plaza Pavilion restaurant at the end of Main Street during the summers of 1980 & 1981. I would always hear the music and know exactly what was going on during the parade. Great memories.

  • I offer the same tale as Victoria’s comment on July 31st, except my daughter was 5 years old. Love the lights, the sculptures and especially the music!

  • This parade was the first thing we thought of when anyone mentioned “Walt Disney World”. It was the first parade we ever saw at WDW and are terribly disappointed that it was discontinued. The music was unforgettable. The courtiers dancing, the characters smiling and waving, it was the ultimate Disney. We always made sure we saw it as almost every night we were at WDW. Wish they would bring it back. PLEASE????

  • My favorite memory of this parade is when I was a little boy, watching Disney’s Electrical Parade sparkle it’s way through Disney’s California Adventure. Best of all, my mom drove the opening unit “Blue Fairy” from 2001 – 2010 and I watched it with my dad almost every week between those years! Really some of the best moments of my life. I really wish the blue fairy would return, as well as the original Baroque Hoedown music. Live on forever EP! 💙

  • The Main Street Electrical Parade was the first Disney parade my daughter ever saw. It was her first trip to Disneyland, she was almost 3 years old at the time, and she loved it. We saw it many times over the years as she grew up, and we made sure we were there to see the parade in it’s final season at Disneyland.

The Main Street Electrical Parade brings back memories of many visits to the “Happiest Place on Earth” with my daughter.

  • My favorite memory is when it was in Disney World. We would camp out on Main Street for a couple of hours to get the perfect spot while we ate our caramel apple from the Main Street confectionery shop . The best part was hearing that final announcement then it got completely dark and as soon as we heard the music everyone in the crowd would clap along to the music. Oh the memories. Please bring our night parade back we miss it so much. Nighttime at the magic kingdom isn’t the same without one.

  • My oldest memory is sitting on my Grandma’s lap and seeing the Electrical Light Parade. It was in 1981 and I was three years old. I remember looking up at her and I could see her smiling in the glow of lights. She looked down at me and gave me a hug. It’s my first memory of feeling love. To this day, I tear up every time I hear “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds. The Main Street Electrical Parade!”.

  • We will be watching it on Saturday! I have been watching this parade for the past 30 years. Just brings back so many childhood memories.

  • We made a last minute trip to see the parade before it left in 2010. Then the earthquake hit in the afternoon on Easter Sunday. Made it a trip we’d never forget.

  • FORTH OF JULY FLOAT
