The day is almost here!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open its doors to guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort on August 29, 2019. The park will hold an official dedication ceremony in the new land the day before, on August 28, and our #DisneyParksLIVE team are already on-site ready to live stream it live for you!
Our live stream will begin promptly at 9:55 a.m. ET today. Refresh this blog post closer to that time in order to view.

Will the dedication ceremony be open to theme park guests?
It is a part of a private event, so we greatly urge you to tune in to our live stream for a front-row seat!
Will the park be open to guests during and after the event or is it private all day until opening the 29th? We missed the annual passholder event by a day! 🙁

5 Grand Kids, 2 Grand parents all clued in and ready to go. We will be star struck viewers. Keep those lasers blasting we will see you in Dec19/Jan20. We are going to start 2020 in Galaxy’s Edge

I’ve been waiting a lifetime for this land. I was 5 in 1977. Star Wars Kenner toys were the focal point of my childhood. Now as an adult, THIS land will be my Fountain of Youth. As DVC Members, Annual Passholders, runDisney freaks and Disney Cruise Line aficionados, I’m BEYOND excited to visit and pilot the Falcon in November during Wine N Dine and again in January to experience Rise of the Resistance during Dopey. Proudly watching from Oakville, Ontario, CANADA!

One of the magical parts of Smuggler’s Run. Is the daylight on the ride reflects the time day in the real world. Yesterday flying just after sunset. was so special. it was the first time i noticed this magical effect. 82 flights and counting. Download the Disney Play Data pad for GE. I have almost complete all the scans, hacks, tunes and jobs. When you have the app open and you fly the falcon, Hondo pays you galactic credits. I have earned $400,000.

Bright suns, #DisneyParksLIVE team! Thank you for sharing such an outstanding and very symbolic dedication ceremony for those of us who couldn’t be there in person! The music and sights gave me goosebumps and fondly reminded me of our first time seeing the Storm Troopers open Star Wars Weekend by marching on the turnstile’s roofs. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge looks absolutely breathtaking and we can’t wait to explore it when we visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios in November! Thanks!
