Disney Doodle: ‘Rescuers’ Orville & Wilbur Catch a Flight at Dumbo the Flying Elephant

In today’s Disney Doodle, artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Orville and Wilbur from the 1977 film “The Rescuers” and the 1990 follow-up “The Rescuers Down Under” would do if they had the opportunity to explore Magic Kingdom Park.

In both films, this flying duo assists the Rescue Aid Society in their efforts by providing transportation. It’s only natural that these brothers would seek out some air time of their own at the park.

“Orville and Wilbur are always willing to fly whenever Bernard and Bianca need their help,” Ashley said. “So I wanted Orville and Wilbur to take a much needed day off and let Dumbo fly them around.”

  • Love this “Doodle”!

I have a big soft spot for “The Rescuers Down Under.” It was the very first movie my daughter ever saw in a theater. She was 2 1/2 years old at the time, and she loved it.
