Jazzing up Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter with a New Sound and a Taste of the ‘Big Easy’

If you didn’t know this about me, I love all things fall. And as we’re about to officially fall into the autumn season, it feels like the perfect time to stop by Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter for one of my favorite treats: pumpkin spice beignets! Best of all, there’s even sweeter reasons to stop by the resort coming this fall.

Soon, things will be jazzed up even more at the resort’s lounge: Scat Cat’s Club. The club will expand to a larger space to serve up signature beverages and flavorful bar options offering a taste of the “Big Easy” in a lounge inspired by the French Quarter in New Orleans.

And just like the French Quarter always has music playing, Scat Cat’s Club will continue to fill the room with entertainment authentic to the New Orleans story, featuring live jazz music five nights a week.

With the expansion of Scat Cat’s Club, the famous beignets will soon be available throughout the day at an all-new location near the lobby, Scat Cat’s Club – Café, making it easier to pick up a piping hot batch. The beignets are made in-house daily, available in classic as well as my favorite seasonal flavor, and many are even served in a signature Mickey-shape!

Whether you’re staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter or craving some sweet beignets and lively music, you’re invited to swing by Scat Cat’s Club to enjoy its timeless charm and new offerings starting this October.

  • Big Easy Swag – Olivia rocked – connected personally with everyone in the audience. Was a great night!

  • Mickey-shaped pumpkin spice beignets sound like a perfect way to celebrate fall in Walt Disney World! Being able to enjoy a fresh batch all day long at Scat Cat Club Cafe will certainly be reminiscent of their unending availability in New Orleans’ French Quarter region. Thanks for sharing a scrumptious picture of these delectable goodies, Jennifer & Disney Parks Blog!

  • We love jazz and beignets, so we’re excited to see what the new expanded Scat Cats has to offer.

  • Love POFQ & Scat Cats. Looking forward to visiting the expanded club.

  • The new Scat Cats sounds great! But please keep Jason and Billy. We visit often, but only stay at French Quarter just to enjoy a night or two with the guys. Really makes our trip and experience memorable. We love their interaction with the crowd. Won’t be the same without them.

  • Sounds good, but please, please let Jason and Billy also be a part of the new location. I can’t imagine POFQ without them.

  • Will gluten free beignets still be available?

  • To be clear, beignets already are available at the resort from 6 am to midnight daily. This will just be at a new area.

We are big fans of Port Orleans-French Quarter, but very disappointed that Jason and Billy will not be continuing to perform.

  • I am excited for the beignet place, that sounds great as well as increasing the size of Scat Cats but losing Jason and Billy is a huge disappointment. I like a lot of different kinds of music but a full night of Dixie Jazz? No thank you!! Give me some music that is fun to sing along with. The Audience making requests and singing along is a large part of the fun. I hope this decision to switch the entertainment is reversed.

  • Soooo sad Jason and Billy won’t be there, one of the reasons we booked for this coming summer

  • Happy about the new lounge area and beignet cafe. But sad to see Jason & Billy go as we liked their mix of music. I know “Dixieland” fits the “theme” but we aren’t fans of that music so more nights at the pool bar or walking up to River Roost

  • No matter which WDW resort we are staying at, our first night there we hop on the boat for beignets – pick up is now even easier? SWEEEEEET!

  • But, sadly, I’ve heard that Jason and Billy won’t be there. Why not? They have been the huge reason why we spend so many evenings at the resort.

  • So basically a Beignet Cafe? I am absolutely here for it.
