Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort, an award-winning hotel that defines grandeur at every turn, is introducing its all-new upscale experience – Tenaya Stone Spa – opening in spring 2020.

Inspired by the spirit of nature and Californian heritage, this full-service spa will be a rejuvenating retreat. Here, you can choose from an array of body treatments, facials, massage and salon services, all performed in a serene setting, sure to relax, revitalize and invigorate the senses.

In some indigenous cultures, Tenaya can mean “to dream.” For modern-day travelers seeking a respite to dream and recharge, it is only when we relax that we can regain balance within ourselves.

The spa is being designed by Disney Imagineers. Pictured above is a peek at the concept for the relaxation room, featuring Craftsman architecture, comfortable, well-appointed furnishings, a water feature and a stained glass window of the rising sun.

Tenaya Stone Spa will be a wonderful addition to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where you can take time to unwind with head-to-toe pampering. The spa will be located near GCH Craftsman Bar and the hotel’s entrance to Disney California Adventure park.

  • I’m so excited about this. Will I be able to bring my 14 year old daughter?

  • Does “salon services” mean HAIR? Hope so!!! For ten years I’ve been talking to anyone of stature at the hotel who will listen about the fact that there is nowhere at the Disney resort to have one’s hair done (unless you count the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique).

  • We will be there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in June! How soon will the spa services and pricing be available? It’d be great if there was grand opening specials!

  • My family and I love to stay at the Grand Californian. It is a beautiful property. The Arts and Crafts architecture and decor are gorgeous. I hope the “concept” of the stained glass window in the new spa becomes reality–it is amazing!

  • I’m relieved to see that the Mandara Spa will be replaced; was wondering what they planned to do with that space. I only went once to Mandara, but I do love to go to the spa, so maybe I’ll give this one a try. I do like the look of the interior, appreciate that Disney Imagineers will have a hand in designing it, and love that it stays true to the Craftsman theme of the GCH.
