An advocate for simple, delicious recipes, Chef Jet Tila seems to be on a mission to break down the mystique of Asian and Pan-Asian cooking for the home cook and the foodie alike.

Most people know him from his many appearances as host, participant, guest, competitor or judge on some of the country’s most popular cable TV cooking shows. A favorite of the Food Network and Cooking Channel, Chef Jet brings a modern vibe to time-tested recipes, which he has honed from his family’s vaults AND his formative years spent in the midst of LA’s Thai Town, ChinaTown, KoreaTown and Little Tokyo.

A culinary ambassador for Thailand, Chef Jet’s family is credited with opening the first Thai grocery store and restaurant in the United States. Chef Jet has also been instrumental in creating multiple Asian and Pan-Asian restaurant concepts throughout the US. In his spare time, he’s authored two books – 101 Asian Dishes You Need to Cook Before You Die and 101 Epic Dishes, which he wrote with his wife Ali.

We caught up with Chef Jet recently and he talked with us about his experiences at the Epcot Internation Food & Wine Festival and his family’s favorite things to do and eat at Walt Disney World Resort.

The 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs from now to Nov 23, 2019. A culinary mashup of global cultures and gourmet innovation, the Festival brings irresistible bites, sips, entertainment and family fun to Walt Disney World Resort. This year’s Festival has a dozen more days, expanding the foodie celebration to a delicious 87 days.

Epcot guests can begin with the aromas and flavors of more than 30 festive global food and beverage destinations that extend from Future World to encircle the World Showcase promenade. Guests also can explore opportunities for special tastings and pairings, plus premium dining events featuring chef personalities.

Chef Jet will bring his foodie flair both to a Food & Beverage Pairing on Friday, Oct. 4 and Party for the Senses on Saturday, Oct. 5.
