#FeelGoodFriday: Make-A-Wish Kids Have a Friend in Us

Walt Disney World Resort is the place where dreams of all shapes and sizes come true, especially for children and families visiting as part of inspiring wish trips fulfilled through wish-granting organizations like Make-A-Wish.

When nine-year-old Grant first visited Walt Disney World, he fell in love with the colorful celebration that moves down Main Street, U.S.A—the Move it! Shake it! MousekeDance It! Street Party. The fun-filled dancing party stayed with Grant, who dreamt about the colors, the music and the characters, long after his trip.

And there was one moment of the dance party in particular that Grant loved most: our pal, Woody.

Grant recently returned to Walt Disney World as part of his Make-A-Wish trip, and we had the opportunity to make his dream of having a dance party with Woody come true. In a moment of pure joy, Grant danced the day away with Woody and the Move it! Shake it! MousekeDance it! Street Party team. His Mom, Dad and three sisters also got to join in on the fun—creating an unforgettable experience for the entire family.

As Woody always does, he showed us that Grant’s got a friend in him. Check out the touching, feel-good moment below when Grant’s wish came true at Magic Kingdom Park:

Grant’s wish is one of 8,000 wishes that cast members help bring to life each and every year at Walt Disney World Resort, building strength and inspiring children to believe in the impossible. Disney has partnered with Make-A-Wish since 1981, and throughout the years, more than 130,000 Disney-inspired wishes have been granted through the inspiring organization.

We can’t wait to share even more special moments with you on the next #FeelGoodFriday.
