It is the spookiest time of the year at the Disneyland Resort and there are plenty of ghoulish delights to enjoy. Here in sunny Southern California some of the season’s tricks and treats include the wonderful weather! Here are some ways to beat the heat while enjoying all the seasonal festivities.

2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House at Disneyland Park

Cool Off In Your Doom Buggy, Inside Haunted Mansion Holiday

Cool off inside the Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park where Jack Skellington shows you what happens when Halloween and Christmas collide. Sit back and relax as you see some favorite Halloween Town residents, including Sally, Oogie Boogie and Zero the ghost dog in this spellbinding seasonal attraction. Think chilly thoughts as you pass the snow-covered graveyard inside the mansion!

Día de los Muertos at Disneyland Resort – Miguel of Disney and Pixar’s “Coco”

Celebrate the Everlasting Bonds of Family in the Shade at Plaza de la Familia

There are plenty of ways to beat the heat at Plaza de la Familia inside Paradise Gardens Park in Disney California Adventure park. Stay cool in the shade as you partake in special activities, such as adding a remembrance note to the Memory Wall to honor loved ones and taking a photo with a whimsical, handcrafted Miguel. At the Paradise Gardens Bandstand, you can sit under the tree canopies and listen to the Mariachi Divas and Mariachi Espectacular, who appear live on stage. Add some chill to any Plaza de la Familia experience with an Agua de Jamaica sweet hibiscus tea slush from Paradise Garden Grill.

 Grizzly River Run

Make a Splash this Halloween Season at Grizzly River Run

Tim Burr the Grizzly Bear is ready for Halloween as he holds his jack-o-lantern for all to see at Grizzly Peak in Disney California Adventure park. Take a picture with this furry friend and then make your way onto Grizzly River Run to cool off on this fun-filled water ride. Don’t get spooked as you embark on this thrilling whitewater raft adventure down a roaring California river, where splashes await around every corner.

Vampire Mickey ice cream bars

Bite into Fang-tastic Cool Treats

When the weather plays tricks on you, it’s time for a frosty Halloween treat! At Disneyland park, the Trick-or-Treat Sundae Duo is a cool snack worth screaming for; available at Gibson Girl. Over at Galactic Grill, the Blood Orange Slush will send a refreshing chill down your spine. At Disney California Adventure park, the Vampire Mickey ice cream bars are good to the last bite, and you’ll find them at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream. At Hollywood Lounge, the My Bugs! My Bugs! limeade slush with grenadine and gummy worms will make you boogie with delight. You can spend more time in the shade when you use the Disneyland app to mobile order some of these treats, straight from your phone.

Dole Whip from The Tropical Hideaway

Sometimes the best Halloween treat is your favorite food or beverage item. As we move through the October heat wave, cast members will be happy to serve you a Dole Whip at The Tropical Hideaway or a Jungle Julep at Bengal Barbecue, both found in Disneyland park. You can even drink some refreshing, out-of-this-world Blue and Green Milk at the Milk Stand at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Over at Disney California Adventure park, it’s okay to eat the “yellow snow” at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, serving up lemon soft-serve at Pixar Pier.
